This was our second time ordering online utilizing Isaac's third party Delivery.com. Our first time was fantastic! Food was prepared awesome and to order. I had no issue with Delivery.com's ease of ordering. What I had this time around was Isaac's performance. When we arrived for curbside, the person who answered the phone said they had no order. After being on the phone it occurred to him to check, only to find our order. It was brought out to us at the car. Good thing we did not leave immediately because we were missing a whole sandwich and an appetizer (Over $17 of food). When we called back in, we went though a chain of employees who were in disbelief. We waited about 10 minutes for them to bring out the rest of our order (mind you that the items we received were already getting cold) and the girl had the nerve to ask to see our bag and look through it with her hands before giving our missing items. Can't tell you how insulting that was. Her leaving comments were to blame the 3rd party online ordering system that they obviously contract with, which made no sense since our emailed receipt had the entire order on it. Can't imagine it being any different on their end since they provided all of the other items in our order. Once we got home to eat our food, it was disappointing. Will be awhile before I choose Isaac's again. Lost...
Read moreIsaac's was once 35 years ago a unique sandwich shop and their prices were not too bad. Now it's just an overpriced sub shop. My experience at this particular location I was delivering and arrived at the time it was supposed to be ready. They said it would just be a minute. Over 15 minutes later they finally had the order ready. Instead of telling me how long it would actually take they just made me sit there and wait. When I said something to him about letting me know exactly how long it would be instead of saying just a minute. The manager told me to get a real job. I worked at Isaac's in 1990 as a cook when I was in high school. I work there again as a server in 2011 for some extra money only to find out that all tips on credit cards are not given to you night of your shift but put on a paycheck that you get every 2 weeks. Must be nice that they can hold all those tips the servers made and earn interest on it for that 2 weeks and making their employees wait to get paid. I've never worked at a restaurant that did that before. I have not eaten there since I last worked there and I would not recommend it to anyone else. There are much better small family-owned businesses in Lancaster that have great food and prices. Isaac's is way overpriced for...
Read moreWe placed a pickup order last night for 8 people, and Iâm still blown away by the amazing customer service! I ordered online and included names in the messages for each meal. Since the system said it would take 60 minutes to prepare, I called the location to see if it could be done sooner. The gentleman who answered was incredibly polite and accommodatingâhe told me to go ahead and place the order and that he could have it ready at the time I requested since it wasnât busy.
When I arrived, I noticed I could easily go inside to grab the order. As soon as I walked in, he greeted me with a big smile and said, âHi Teresa, your order is ready.â I was honestly amazed. He was so welcoming, energetic, and polite. He had seen the names in the order notes, labeled every item accordingly, and even included napkins and utensils. On top of that, he remembered the names of everyone we ordered for!
The food was SO goodâfresh, flavorful, and everything was exactly as we ordered, even with a few modifications. They got it all right!
I donât usually frequent Isaacâs, but after this experience, I definitely will. Outstanding customer service like that deserves to be recognizedâthank you for making our evening so smooth...
