My family tried the weekend brunch buffet today and was blown away by the flavors and variety. It's hard to find a decent Indian restaurant these days, much less a buffet. Himalayan not only offers fresh garlic naan, but also dosas and parathas! They also offer a variety of vegetarian and egg/meat dishes, including chicken and vegetable curries, bean/eggplant stews, pakoras, and wings. Sides include a variety of chutneys and raita. Today's dessert included fresh watermelon, banana pudding, jalebi, gulab jamun, and fruit cocktail. Masala chai and mango lassi were also provided. Every dish had the perfect amount of spice and tasted very authentic! My personal favorites were the dosa, chicken biryani, chicken curry, and eggplant fry. The new owner is lovely and very proud of the authenticity and quality of her buffet menu. We are so happy to find an Indian buffet option and can't wait to come back!

Truly a family run Indian restaurant that offers buffet style eating and table service for parties. We went on a Saturday at 2pm and it was half full mixed crowd. The place is not a romantic venue, just a standard eatery with a variety of food options. Indian is my favorite cuisine and this place was okay for a quick lunch. I had the paneer Tikka masala, chicken Tikka masala, lamb curry, fish 65, samosa, rice, coconut soup, mango lassi and cardamon rice pudding. Food presentation could be more inviting but non the less flavor was not too spicy just right and good. I would come here again for a quick lunch but can't comment on how often food options are changed. Price for two people lunch buffet was $26 plus tip. It is located in a small strip mall not bad for the value.

“Another Indian rest .. nothing special except their hospitality” Shifted to Pa last month and was eager to try Indian buffet. So far, I found cinnamon from Nj Is best one in this business Anyway. the ambiance was good. Staffs were courteous, but buffet it was not that good. Not many options in nonveg appetizers. drumstick was a total fail in starters, coloured in red (to the owner- mixing red color will not make it kabab or tandoori) Similarly not many options in the main course, Chicken tikka masala (which only Americans ll like) and one mutton entree. There was fish biryani which was more like pulav with fried fish pieces. Kadhi pakora, desserts (4-5 options), stuffed paratha and mango juice. I liked it Overall 5.5/10

A horrific experience that could have been one of our best in the East Coast as the food was tasty!!!

It started with a nice welcome salad plate for each diner, great that they served it because there was no sign of food for next one hour!!!

We were 3 families with kids!!!

The nightmare started when our order started arriving… One less plate was given. The second food item was served after 20 minutes of the first one. No chutney or onion with tandoori chicken. Curries were served without any sign of breads!!! We started eating curries with the complimentary rice while waiting for the breads. We ordered a total of 7 breads, only 4 were served and 3 were cancelled without our knowledge!!! We were literally waiting for the garlic naan, with curry getting cold in our plate and we eventually came to know that they have NOT prepared any of the garlic naan for us.

While going through all this ordeal, we discussed among ourselves that it could be because of the weekend rush but what made it worse is that nobody came once to our tables and expressed any concerns about the delay and the mismanagement with our order.

We thought that we will ask for some compensation/discount against this biggest nightmare of our dinning history but guess what there was more to this nightmare!!!

When we expressed our discontent along with a praise for the taste of the food (which we liked honestly) and asked for some kind of discount as a compensation, the lady at the counter said that “you do the dishes that are at your table and your food will be free”…

This was the last disgrace that was destined for us...

August 2022 update: The lunch buffet during the week is $10. I went kinda late in the lunch buffet hours recently and they even cooked me up some Chicken Tikka Marsala special for me since the buffet was closing soon. I generally find that the tikka marsala etc is on the sweeter side so I order it more spicy than I used to prior to the ownership/cook change but still good. Highly recommend the lentl soup!!!!

3/5/22 update: The lunch buffet is back!! $19.99 on Saturday (not sure if it is cheaper during the week). My son and I went today. Chicken tikka Marsala, two other meat dishes, three lentil dishes, something fried, excellent Naan, salad, fruit, honey balls. There are new owners (the gentleman who has been there the last few years had not been in recently so I asked-I wish him well as he was always very very friendly). I noticed the lentl soup had more lentls (more of a chunky texture) when I got it a few days prior, but was still excellent. My son said his Chicken Dansik Medium tasted a little different but was still good. New chef I guess. No complaints.

2/24/22 update. They have reopened their dining room recently. I have been ordering takeout for me and my son during the pandemic but we will be back.

Personally I like the chicken Tikka marsala and the lentl soup. My son loves the chicken dansik and the honey dough balls.

I hope they reopen the lunch buffet soon as it was awesome pre pandemic

Great lunch buffet. Variety of mild and spicier fare. Vegetarian and meat dishes. Great Nan!! I've never eaten here where it was empty. Great honey dough balls for dessert as well....

If you're in the mood for some delicious and authentic Indian cuisine, look no further than this local restaurant!

The menu has a wide variety of options, from classic dishes like chicken tikka masala to more unique offerings like paneer makhani. And the spices and flavors are always perfectly balanced, making every dish a true culinary delight.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with beautiful decor that transports you to India. It's the perfect spot for a cozy dinner with friends or family.

One thing that really sets this Indian restaurant apart is the service. The staff are all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they go out of their way to make sure you have a great dining experience. They're always happy to make recommendations or answer any questions you have.

Another great thing about this restaurant is that they have a range of vegetarian and vegan options. It's nice to have so many choices if you have dietary restrictions.

And let's not forget about the naan bread! It's always hot and fresh, and the perfect accompaniment to any dish.

Overall, I would highly recommend this local Indian restaurant to anyone looking for some authentic and delicious cuisine. The menu is diverse, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is top-notch. Give it a try and prepare to be transported to India through...
