The moment I walk into this place, I know I’m in the right spot. The air is thick with the scent of simmering phở broth—rich, beefy, and the kind of smell that makes you weak in the knees. One sip, and I’m transported straight back to the streets of Sài Gòn, except here, no one is honking at me while I eat. The bò tái is so tender it practically whispers sweet nothings as it melts in my mouth, the bánh phở is perfectly chewy, and the plate of rau thơm—húng quế, giá đỗ, chanh—is so fresh it looks like it was just picked by someone’s Vietnamese grandma.

Unlike the tiny, chaotic quán phở I grew up with, this place is modern, spacious, and—shockingly—immaculately clean. No tiny plastic stools threatening to collapse under you, no suspicious puddles on the floor—just a good, solid space where you can slurp your noodles in peace. The staff is always here, moving at lightning speed, but somehow, they still have time to chat with regulars. Up front, there’s a family table where the owners sometimes sit, sipping cà phê sữa đá like royalty while their kids do bài tập về nhà. It’s the kind of scene that makes you want to pull up a chair and ask for some help with your own taxes.

And let’s talk about the food—because they don’t just do phở. The bánh xèo is crispy perfection, so good it makes you question every other pancake you’ve ever eaten. The bún thịt nướng is loaded with smoky thịt nướng, fresh herbs, and just the right amount of crunch from the đậu phộng. And the gà nướng sả? Let’s just say if I ever go missing, check the kitchen—I might have moved in. They even serve trà sữa trân châu, because nothing washes down a giant bowl of noodles like slurping tapioca pearls up a straw the size of a PVC pipe. Bottom line? This place is a gift from the noodle gods. If you haven’t been here yet, what are you doing...

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Pho-nomenal Experience at Pho 99@! 🍲🥢😋

The moment we walked into Pho 99@, we knew we were in for a treat! 🎉🚪👨‍👩‍👧 Our appetites were awakened by the tantalizing aroma of spices and broth wafting through the air. 😍👃🔥

Our culinary adventure began with the scrumptious Nimchao 🍤🥗, setting the stage for the pho extravaganza to follow. My daughter delighted in the Rare Beef Pho (Pho Tai) 🍲🥩, while my wife savored every bite of her Rare Beef, Beef Tendon Pho (Pho Tai-Gau) 🍲🐮. As for me, I couldn't resist the Pho Dac Biet 🍲🏆, a house special beef pho that came with a mouthwatering assortment of meats, including rare beef, flank, brisket, tendon, meatball, tripe, and oxtail 🤤🥩🎉.

As if that wasn't enough, we also shared a flavorful order of fried rice (com this nuong bi cha op la) 🍚🍳🥢, which added the perfect finishing touch to our meal.

What really blew us away was the lightning-fast service! ⚡🕑👏 Our food arrived at our table in no time, leaving us to wonder if the chef has some kind of culinary superpowers. 🦸‍♂️🍴🔥

Pho 99@ truly lived up to the hype, and we can't wait to return for another round of pho-tastic fun! 🌟🍜💖 If you're looking for a place to satisfy your pho cravings, look no further – Pho 99@ has got you...

I'm visiting my niece in Asbury Park, and since it was raining all day, we all thought Pho would be great.

Modern design inside, very bright and clean atmosphere.

However, our excitement turned to disappointment. No Thai Sweet Basil, lemon instead of lime. Bean Sprouts and Jalapeños only. We have to ask for Cilantro. Right then, I know this place will not be authentic.

Papaya Salad was average, Spring Rolls was good, only 2 per order. The Chicken Wings was the best one!

The Lemongrass Pork Chops was very dry and tough. The broth was very basic. It is missing the complexity and depth I'm looking for in a broth. My niece thought her Bun Bo Hue was very good.

Service was non-existent. The guy that was serving us forgot to bring us small plates. Also, we have to flag another server to refill our water. My niece wanted to order Bahn Mi to go in the end, but they already closed the kitchen at 0810. They should have at least ask if we want something from kitchen.

Overall, I'm very disappointed with the experience. I'm giving 3 STARS since my brother enjoyed his order, and my niece said...

First off I have to say that the inside is absolutely stunning! Very clean and beautifully decorated with great amount of natural lighting. Upon sitting we were presented with glasses of water and menus. To my surprise the prices were on the lower end ranging from around 8 to 15$. The sweet and spicy Bánh mì I ordered with a side of fries had a good presentation and the portion was bigger than I anticipated. It was very flavorful with a nice mix of textures from the crunchy cucumbers and tender meat although I didn’t feel any spice. The fries were crispy but too thin to enjoy the array of sauces available at the table. Overall I was pleased with the food, the service, the atmosphere and will definitely be coming back to try other dishes.
