The best part of the meal were the free peanuts! How can people like this joint? My friend and I were there tonight for a quick bite to eat, I spent $25 on one Jr burger with small fries, a Jr bacon cheeseburger, a diet and a shake; I forgot to order fries so I placed an order for seasoned fries, another $5 for a grand total of $30. When the food arrived they had given me regular fries, which they promised to switch when I pointed out that the order was wrong. Where do I start.......the cheeseburger......it had no bacon, cheese was not melted and once they added the cold tomato and lettuce to the already lukewarm cheeseburger it became cold; the fries....when the new “corrected “ ones arrived it seemed as if the seasoning bottle had been emptied on these fries - the minute I opened the bag I started chocking on the cloud of seasoning that came out, I couldn’t eat them. When I asked the employee if this was how they normally would serve them, he admitted that it was not and apologized. I paid $30 for a meal I did not enjoy, and didn’t finish. I’m giving it 2 stars because of the peanuts, the shake and the employee who took my order, even though he messed up my fries, he...
Read moreI went to Five Guys in Edgewater yesterday. The burger was tasty but the cajun fries were way over salted, I ended up throwing them away. Also, this is the first time I have ever gone to a fast food joint and when I used my credit card they asked me to leave a tip. I said to the cashier, "what is this...a tip, for what...for fast food?" He said only if you want to. I couldn't believe this screen was comming up for fast food. Its not like I was being waited on or served in any way. Tipping in America has gotten out of control. Putting pressure on people to tip when they are paying for fast food it in poor taste. If Five Guys is doesn't pay their employees a fair wage that suits increasing living costs, they should pay their employees more hourly wage, not ask customers to tip before they have even received any service. Its not like they even bring us our food, we are standing there waiting and taking our food. Why are you...
Read moreI visited yesterday afternoon. Staff were a bunch of tall dudes with stern faces. Food is ok, I mean it's five guys.
Service was a little bizarre. I ordered 3 regular hamburgers, order was put in as 3 little hamburgers. I don't think it's my pronunciation because I grew up mostly in America. Next dude after me ordered a burger without cheese, and received an order with cheese. I guess order mistakes happen often. One thing that I cannot agree with is no apology after I told the cashier that they got the order wrong. The guy just gave me a stern face, leaving me to think that they didn't care and are NOT trained properly. Will not return.
Management needs to step up and train properly. These days, a great customer service can...
