I was looking for a new sushi place to try and found the reviews for this spot promising. Boy did they live up to them!
I showed up around 1pm on a Friday. It's fairly small being located in an office building 1st floor, so be sure to target them outside of the typical lunch rush if you want to eat in! About 12-15 2-person tables are in the lobby.
I ordered the spicy tuna sushi bowl since this seems to be earning high praise from everyone who gets it, a pork belly banh mi and a chicken curry udon soup. I was told they'd bring it out to me so I sat down.
The sushi bowl was done first so that was brought out first. Appreciate the fact that they get it to you as each part is made. MAN that was good! Yeap, try it. It's worth it. Very fresh fish, everything in it complemented each bite.
The banh mi and the soup came out next. The sandwich was okay, it didn't scream flavorful but all the ingredients were fresh.
The curry soup was fantastic. I don't know what they do to that chicken but it was almost soft as butter and was perfect in the soup, which probably had some of the best udon noodles I've ever had tbh. Way better than what you get at the grocery store if you're trying to make your own. The broth was really tasty too. It was also hot, but not "can't eat it yet" hot - just right.
I'll be coming back here next week! And will probably order a bit less because my eyes were bigger than my stomach this time around (still finished every...

JK's Table offers both American cafe-style sandwiches and salads, and traditional Japanese lunch foods (noodle soups, sushi, bento boxes). It's an interesting combo which I imagine does well with the lunch crowd in the office park where it's located.
I had their excellent shrimp tempura soup with udon noodles for lunch today. Would definitely recommend it with the 'regular' broth. They also serve it with a curry broth which I'm very interested to try. My office also ordered their traditional bento box lunches for takeout one day. These were amazing. Delicious chicken teriyaki or marinated mackerel, sushi, seaweed salad, and other Japanese delicacies stylishly arranged in a disposable but classy looking bento container.
Already looking forward to...
Read moreThis place might throw you off if you've never been here before. It is blended in or might I even add overshadowed by office space. The first time I came here, I actually drove off because I saw a big tall office building. Didn't let that fool you though as they have an exterior entrance right into the restaurant.
It's sushi so expect a higher price tag, but honestly not bad.
I got a spicy tuna bowl with a dynamite roll. I felt that there were way too much mayo in the bowl which almost felt like I was just eating a spoon full of mayo at times. The roll had a hint of Taco as the sauce had a hint of Mexican flavored jalapeno spice.
The place was filled with workers assumedly from the same building.
I would...
