Desi Galaxy Express — Restaurant in Edison

Desi Galaxy is an Indian snack stall selling popular chaat items and some other street food dishes like Chole Bhature, Pav Bhaji, etc. The place is small, with limited seating, inconsistent food quality and is not so hygienic or clean. But the service was great, few items might be worth trying and pricing is pretty reasonable.

Recently visited this place with a group of friends. We had tried a bunch of items among the group. The quality of food wasn't too great, some dishes were nice and some were really off. We first tried the Pani Puri - they have a variety of Pani to choose from. The Puris weren't crispy as you would want to be. After that we tried a couple of chaat items with Pav Bhaji and Chole Bhature. The chaat items were ok but one of the chutneys used in them was smelling bad. The Pav Bhaji and Vada Pav were kinda OKish and the Chole Bhature was pretty good. We also tried the Cut Mirchi - a batter fried green chillies dish, the dish tasted great and pretty fresh.

PATHETIC SERVICE!!! Rude owner who has no business acumen and does not understand how to provide basic customer satisfaction. Does not have right courtesy to speak properly! We placed a party order for an appetizer dahi papdi chaat. Also note that before ordering we tried and sampled that the day prior. Based on the sampling, we directed the restaurant owner to make it spicy.

When we received the order, it was completely unappetizing. Several of my guests complained about the taste and quality of the food. The bhalle had an after taste and was very hard to break. Additionally, the staff was unprofessional and inattentive, making the whole experience stressful. I expected much better for the price I paid. I will not be recommending desi galaxy to anyone.
