On August 29, 2023 at 1:26pm we tried to place two orders of the Carolina BBQ Burnt Ends burger, however, Kaylin (who was at the register) claimed they were sold out. So, we let the next customer behind us place her order while we looked over the menu to choose something else; since we went into Smashburger specifically for the Carolina BBQ. When it was our turn to order she spoke to us in a very condescending manner. She began by speaking to us like we were children; slow, loud, and authoritative. She instructed us to speak very slowly placing one order at a time which is common sense. When it was my turn to order, I stated I wanted a small order of onion rings with the Avocado Club single patty, she rolled her eyes as if annoyed and spoke to me again like a child and said, “Do you mean the, “HAYSTACK” onions?” Honestly at that point, I felt like she purposely wanted to make me feel as if I am inept. I really want to to point out that, whether I said “Onion Rings” or not “Haystack Onions” it does not matter, there only one kind of onions in the menu under, FRIES & SIDES. When bringing over our food, she was not friendly. She walked away with no response as we thanked her for handing us our orders. Clearly, Kaylin is not happy working for Smashburger, her poor behavior (rude and unprofessional) needs to be addressed which I highly recommend retraining on etiquette. Read moreI ordered my food at melo park smash burger at 4:13pm and went up to see what was taking my food so long around 4:35pm the woman told me they were backed up from a catering order. I sat back down and gave the staff more time to make my food. The woman finally brings my order to me at 4:50pm and the fries were missing from the order me and my partner weren't able to eat together at the same time due to our ordered being made at different times but yet we ordered on one order together. We waited more time for the fries so we can eat together at the same time by the time the other fries came that they forgot our burgers were cold and not to mention my burger was burnt and all the juice from the burger was dried up. This was the worst experience I had at smash burger. The restaurant is well put together and looks great but service sucks, food was burnt and not enjoyable like the other smash burgers. Thank you to the manager who than gave me my refund, i appreciate Chris who helped me after the situation had occurred. I was grateful to get my money back without an issue. I took my money back and went to Popeyes after. This is upsetting for me because I really have been to so many smash burgers and never been through such a situation. Read moreI typically love coming to smash burger and this is the first time I’ve ever been disappointed. I ordered food between 5:20- 5:30pm and they made me get up after I sat because they wanted to close that section. There was another couple nearby but they were there earlier so they weren’t asked to move. She told me to go sit in the other section but there were no seats available. I asked last where she would like me to sit and she didn’t have a suggestion because there weren’t any other available seats in the section she wanted me to move to. She just stated that I should have been told that I could only take the food to go when I paid. The lady that took my order didn’t say a thing and was very nice. We had to leave and find somewhere to sit outside of restaurant. Totally unprofessional in my opinion. To top things off, my avocado add on looked old and my bacon was soggy.
