If you want tex mex, go to Ted's. If you want actual authentic taqueria food, you've found your place. And it has a DRIVE THRU. I always said I'd eat taqueria food every single day if only I didn't have to go up to a counter to get it. Now that I don't...yeah, I'm here almost daily.
Beans and rice are some of the best I've ever had (beans were heavy on the MSG which is a GOOD thing). Carnitas are extremely savory and flavorful with slightly crispy edges. Cabeza tacos are just dripping with delicious red juice and the beef itself is absolutely falling apart, cooked perfectly. FREE guacamole with the taco plate!!!
One thing that sticks out is the salsa verde. It's creamy, as if it has avocado in it and it has a GREAT amount of heat.
My order has been right every single time I've gone through, so no issue with a language barrier or anything. They're extremely nice here too.
Don't order the queso. I shouldn't have to say this, because you don't go to a taqueria for queso dip, that's a tex mex thing. Mom insisted on trying it so we did and as expected, it's just there as a token offering and comes out of a can. I don't much care for it in the first place so it doesn't matter to me.
If you want that kind of food go to Ted's or On The Border. If you want ACTUAL Mexican food, Los 3 Tapatios is your place. I really hope these guys can stay in business! I hope there's enough demand in Edmond for taqueria food. Please give them a shot, especially if you like tacos! :D
PS; to the owners, I think I would come here even MORE if elotes were on the menu. There's nowhere else to get...
Read moreAfter today they will no longer be receiving my business they were very careless at the drive through they did not want to repeat my order back to me. When I have a very specific order that I get. When, I went to the window they did NOT even bother to open the window to repeat my order they waited till the food was done opened the window with an attitude and acted like I was an inconvenience for even going by. When I called and told them that the order of one of the meals was wrong after being specific on what I want on it I was told that's basically my problem. If being a customer is an inconvenience to them I would never spend my time going there or recommending this spot to ANYONE.
They tried to say I didn't say no cilantro or onions and that the cook said he didn't put onions but did put cilantro when I can clearly see both in my burrito. I was very upset with the way they handled this situation.
EDIT# FIRST OF ALL i never said I had 2 burritos I only had one and being a GM myself at multiple restaurants knows what the definition of customer service and standards looks like unfortunately you don't want to take accountability when YOUR STAFF doesn't show respect nor accountability for treating me as a INCONVIENT customer the way they did and do not worry I WILL NEVER SPEND A PENNY OF MINE AT THIS FACILITY!!! AND I WILL MAKE SURE THAT ANYONE WHO ASK KNOWS THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH PAYING THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE!!! IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!! AND YOU CAN CONTINUE COVERING UP FOR UNWORTHY AND DISRESPECTFUL EMPLOYEES AT THIS PLACE! I DON'T WISH YOU THE BEST OF...
Read moreI read reviews on this place calling it a “Hidden Gem”. Parts of it were good but the majority was not. I don’t like having to pay for chips at a taqueria. Major minus. The salsa bar needs improvement. The pico de gallo or salsa Fresca whatever you want to call it had a stagnant smell and had been sitting way too long and was a day away from rotting. None of the salsas were labeled. Am I a mind reader? The other “sauces were watery and runny and not very appetizing. The radishes looked water logged and the jalapeños were mostly juice. I ordered a burrito plate. Carne asada. Please see photo. The burrito came with a “sauce” on top which was nothing more than salty red water with chili’s that were boiled to death. I started to get a sodium headache with the first taste. Piece of advice, order burritos without the sauce! The side of guacamole 🥑 was $3.50 for two scoops. We all know avocados are cheep and that price was inflated. For two to have medium size burritos and a plate of chips we had to pay for and for guacamole and two drinks it was over $27. Thats no bargain. I would avoid this restaurant and save your money. As a Californian I know what good Mexican food is. This is low quality. I have had better food off of a taco truck in San Jose for...
