Cafe De Taipei — Restaurant in Edmond

Came here a couple times with colleagues and the service is what puts them at a 1 star rating. The first time wasn't so bad, but I have gone here 4 TIMES after my first visit, and they have all been lacking in service. I ordered like the rest of my colleagues and they all got their food, except me. I was there 40-50 minutes waiting on my food after ordering until I had to remind them they were missing an order. Next visit is the same thing, they don't bring an order, and the next and the next time. It's so repetitive at this point, I'm never guaranteed if I can receive good service or even get the food I ordered. I have a suggestion that would fix this problem, maybe your employees should look at the ticket for the table and do a look over and make sure everything is there? It's not hard. Anyways, good luck to those who eat here👋. P.S. it's always the blonde guy with glasses, terrible server😁.

Edit: First, love that the owner responds so quickly to reviews. It really helped me in understanding that the problem isn't the staff, but management. Second, I will make sure that if I come in next time, I don't come in with my coworkers, just me and I'll oder a water only so that my order isn't too big🥰 Third, it's not my problem that YOU'RE establishment can't serve a group of four or three at a time. So don't pin the "big order" on me. Manage your establishment. Fourth, I don't think you read my review. I was going to pay for an order I never received. Your staff forgot! I don't care if it takes 40 minutes, I'm a patient person and I understand there is other customers to serve. But they forgot about my order, big difference there...

Extremely impressed with this hidden gem here in Edmond for multiple reasons. One, they are open super late when most restaurants have already been closed for a couple hours. Two, they are very friendly, and welcome people who enter their restaurant with a warm greeting. I have not ever had to stand around and wait to be helped. And three, their food is top notch delicious. Packed with flavor that you can only get with fresh ingredients. Every aspect of each dish I have tried so far pairs perfectly with the other items within the dish. For instance, the Fried Chicken Fried Rice has a delicious pairing of fried chicken with a touch of honey and just a slight hint of spiciness, but it pairs perfectly with the fried rice that is also packed with flavor. Another dish I highly recommend is their Ocean Roll, which is a mix of Crawfish, Shrimp, Calamari, and Scallops sauteed in a pleasantly delicious non spicy sauce, paired with a rice and cucumber, seaweed wrapped roll. The Tempura Roll is one of my wifes favorite rolls, so it's another dish we recommended. Their Spicy Mayo is homemade and can vary in spicy potency, my wife loves their spicy mayo but noticed one day it was spicier then the previous day but she said it was still delicious. My wife is absolutely in love with this restaurant and we can't get enough of it. Their sushi is some of the best in town if not the best in the metro area. Update: Always had a great impression of this place. But this time they really lost my respect. I was driving back to Stillwater that night and it was already around 10pm after dinner so asked them a little bit of water refill, in my bottle, instead of the cup they provide so that I do not have to stop anywhere else to buy a bottled water. I was already tired of multiple trips the whole day. I could have just poured the water that they refill in the cup to my bottle but just wanted to ask them for a refill in my bottle instead. However they said they cannot refill water for me if I am going to put it in my bottle. Which makes no sense to me! No matter how popular the place is and how good the food, if they cannot offer a water thats not a place for any beings . On top of that, Chicken Poke Bowl was just a combination of popcorn chicken and rice. I ask them to go to GoGi Go at Edmond rail-yard and see what poke bowl actually is.
