KFC — Restaurant in Edmond

Sad to see this place fall apart over the years. Drive up lane littered and stained with refuse and difficulty ordering as drive up attendant had difficulty understanding order of 2 combo meals. Pulled up to pay and told to drive around the front with no explanation. Receipt stamped 6:10 PM - after waiting for 10 minutes I went inside to ask about my order. One server scolded the other that they should have told me they(tenders) weren’t cooked yet and then told me they were out of Diet Dr Pepper- I don’t like Diet Pepsi so I asked them to remove them from order. The same lady scolded the drive up attendant again saying “you shoulda told him we didn’t have no diet Dr Pepper!” Then said my order was gonna take another minute to cook. I said “let’s just cancel the order” as it’s been 20 minutes now. She seemed offended and did cancel it but when I asked for a receipt- she said “I have to make a copy are you sure?” I said yes I’m sure. I then asked for a number to call and she seemed surprised. I asked if there was a manager and a fella that had walked in turns out to be the manager. I explained what happened and he didn’t know what to do so the lady said “give him some tenders!” He looked hesitant and repeated it to me as if I hadn’t heard it the first time - I said “sure if that is how you want to fix this, fine” I was calm but irritated- he came back and said it will take a few minutes to make some fries!!!!! I said “let’s just forget this” and walked out. This was between 6:10 and 6:35 (dinner time) and this place was just so poorly serving and communicating. Hate to complain, hate to leave such bad google reviews- but this was just awful service. Went 1/4th a mile down the road to Cane’s and they had polite well trained order takers standing outside, zero issues, had food within 3-4 minutes of order and it was $3-$4 less...

I wish I could rate the food but I was not provided any service. On 07-29-2023 @ 3pm I entered the KFC off 2nd in Edmond near OU Hospital. I first went to the men's room to wash up then proceeded to the counter. Two employees were talking and sweeping up with their backs facing me talking loudly about personal items while another employee was sitting at the table 6 feet behind me playing on his phone. I waited at the counter for a couple minutes and no one acknowledged that I was there. The employee behind me looked up at me but never said a word, did not bother to get the others attention, or even acknowledge I was present. He also watched me as I left and still did not speak up to try and keep me in the restaurant. Very Dissatisfied and dissappointed with the service at this KFC. I guess that is why they had no one else there, no customers. Lots of chicken pre made but no one to feed it to. I hope management or the owners read this review. If you want to make money, you need to change the culture in that restaurant! I went to Taco Bell next door and got waited on instantly... HUGE difference.

08-13-2023: Update. I told KFC that I would update the google review if change was made to the restaurant. I have to say that after my complaint, corporate and store management, called quickly to resolve the issue. I was taken care of regarding my missed meal. And was impressed with their professionalism in handling a difficult situation. I hope this store continues to make improvements in customer service. Thanks for your help. I went to the location because I had a large order. I went in before and made a large order and the lady that day told me that if I let them know ahead of time they could have it ready for me and I didn't have to wait. So remembering that I drove there because I wanted them to know this was a real order. They were not open because it was 10:10 am and I thought they opened at 10am. I knocked on the door and a lady came over. I told her I had a large order. I needed 3 buckets of crispy chicken, 1 bucket of original chicken and 20 chicken strips. I asked if I needed to pay in advance. She then said hold on. I thought she was going to get a manager. A UPS driver came up and tried to open the door. I told him I think they went to get the manager. He then replied are they coming. I said I think so. A different lady came to the door took the package and I begin to ask her about my order and what I needed to do. She looks at me rudely and tell me that she didn't have time for this because she had a lot to do. I continued to be polite and asked if it would be ready at 11:15 am she said did you tell the other lady what you wanted I said yes. She said okay. I asked if I needed to pay upfront she said no and I said okay. I returned to my vehicle and was like they were extremely rude and I didn't want to give them my business. I called them while in the parking lot and told them that they were rude and I will take my business elsewhere. I will order pizza. I will no longer give that company...
