Walked in and saw one of my favorite liqueurs on the shelf. Said I’d love a specific famous drink made with it. “Sorry, can’t do it.” Asked for anything along similar lines. “Well, we don’t have the ingredients, so that’s tough.” Asked what they could make with the liqueur on their shelf. “Lots of things!” I ended up ordering a whisky on the rocks after receiving no suggestions about what was possible.
This was the only drink I got. When closing out, the bartender tapped the 20% tip option for us. To be fair, he had walked by our table to ask how my drink tasted. It tasted like whisky on the rocks.

Read moreI'd driven by countless times, always mentioning I'd like to try it out. We finally did, and what a delight! Loved the almost vintage (like it's been around for decades) ambiance. You order at the bar, and the friendly bartenders create your cocktails right then. We tried the Some Like it Hot and the Naughty Toddy. The 'Hot' lived up to its name with the firewater bitters, adding a unique touch of heat to the smoothness of the drink. The Toddy served hot will indeed warm you up on a cold winter night. Thought the music was cranked a little loud when we came in, thinking it was a more intimate venue, but once we started enjoying our drinks, the tunes just blended into the background. The interior is super cool and love the vibe. My only quibble (which is, albeit, a subjective one) is that the music is on the loud side.
