China King — Restaurant in Edwardsville

I would give this place negative stars if I could after the experience I had tonight. I am a regular customer here and my delivery usually takes 20-40 min to arrive. I called them when my food still hadn't arrived, an hour and a half later! They were completely clueless as to what happend and said they would call me back.

10 min later I called them back because I still hadnt heard from them. They said they had started a new order for me. When I asked if they were going to do something about this atleast..they said NO firmly. Then said the new order would take another 40min.

Another HOUR AND A HALF goes by..this means it has been 3 and a half hours since I placed my order..and I had to call them back to see why my order still hadnt arrived. Yet again the lady sounded clueless and put me on hold..then Hung up on me!

I will Never order here again nor recommend this place of business to anyone after that horrible service and experience. They did not once say anything to take responsibility or keep a regular customer which shows how...

This is our favorite place to get carry out Chinese. We love the food. The service is all business, move em in and out. I have not personally had any problems with the place, but I can believe some of the cautions other reviewers have noted.

While waiting to pick up my order one day, there was a group of people eating lunch. An older woman came out from the back because the waitress had mistakenly given extra crab rangoons to the group. The older woman demanded the rangoons back. Personally, I think if the restaurant makes the mistake of giving you something extra it's their loss. I certainly don't think the lady should have demanded her customers return the rangoons, especially loudly and in front of the whole restaurant (it's not a big place). As she walked back to the kitchen with the confiscated rangoons, I wonder what she would do with them and if I would have food in my bag that was removed from someone...

Not worth the money spent. Ordered online, took over an hour and half to get delivered, but the delivery person was nice and friendly so it wasn't an issue. The issue was the food. We ordered the honey chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The honey chicken tasted like you were eating cotton balls. It was a soggy mess, and the chicken was dry as well. We couldn't finish 2 bites before tossing it. The only redeeming factor on the sweet and sour chicken was that the sauce wasn't poured directly on top of the chicken, because the sauce packets you get on the side taste better than whatever it was that they gave us. Really, the only good food I've ever had here is there 'appetizers' and occasionally fried rice. Definitely will not be ordering from...
