Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Edwardsville

This review will likely be dated after a certain point. However, it's relevant now. I ordered a sandwich combo and left a $5 tip on a $10 combo because I understand what it must be like to be in food service during a pandemic.

The food went out for delivery, and arrived very quickly. The food was also delicious. However, the delivery drive was unmasked.

You're delivering food from door to door. There is a non-zero number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in this county. People are dying, whether you know them or not. You have a basic civic responsibility to care for the people you serve, regardless of if you care about your own health.

I answered the door with a mask on. I didn't know your age, health, etc... I wore that mask as much for you as I did for myself.

I hope that this was an example of of one irresponsible delivery driver, and not a reflection of this restaurant. However, I will hesitate to order from this Jimmy John's again until the public health...

It was so awful! I was passing through town and needed a quick option that wasn't greasy. I ordered online because it's much easier with kids, rather than everyone trying to switch it up mid order at the drive thru. We get to the drive thru about 5 minutes later and they say they're still trying to complete the order and come back in 20 to 25 minutes? So, I waited, unfortunately... 25 minutes later, I go back though the drive thru and it's still not ready. Prior to this point I'd never been to a JJ that I couldn't order, drive around the corner and then my order ready, 'Freaky Fast', that's their slogan. They tell me to go ahead and come to the window, where we sit for an additional 15 minutes. I finally get my order from who I believe was the manager and we were missing food in addition to the order being wrong. I was already on the highway headed to the next town by the time I realized this.

I wouldn't waste your time, they're not...

Update: Final outcome - 42 minutes after the selected delivery time.

I've placed exactly 2 delivery orders from this location. Both orders were decent sized catering orders, placed ahead of time, with a pre-selected delivery time, for organization meetings. Both orders were late. The first order was 15 minutes late. When I called to ask about it, I was told that it was late because they had to make bread, which I assumed they would have made throughout the day, particularly since that order was placed 3 days prior. The second order was place head of time, and is currently 20 minutes late. When I called to ask about it, it had not left the store and I was told that they would make sure it was "the next order they deliver." Pretty strange for a sandwich chain that bills itself as "freaky fast." I think McAllister's will be our go-to sandwich source...
