I recently had the misfortune of dining at nizam's Indian restaurant, and I must say that it was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. The service was incredibly poor, the food quality was subpar, and the rudeness of the manager and staff was completely unacceptable.
To begin with, the service at this restaurant was abysmal. once we were finally seated, our server seemed completely disinterested in our needs. She barely made eye contact with us, and when she did, it was with a look of disdain. She barely checked on us throughout the meal, and when we did manage to flag her down to request more water or ask for the check, she seemed annoyed and rushed us through the process.
The food quality at this restaurant was equally disappointing. We were expecting flavors that were bold and complex, but what we received was a bland and uninspiring meal that left us feeling completely unsatisfied.
But the worst part of our dining experience at this restaurant was the rudeness of the manager and staff. The manager seemed completely indifferent to our complaints about the service and food quality, and when we asked to speak with him about our concerns, he became visibly agitated and rude. He refused to listen to our complaints. His behavior was completely unacceptable, and it left us feeling belittled and disrespected.
In addition to the manager's rudeness, the staff at this restaurant were equally unpleasant. They seemed to go out of their way to avoid interacting with us, and when they did, they were brusque and dismissive. It was clear that they had no interest in providing a pleasant dining experience for their customers, and their attitude was reflected in the poor quality of the service and food that we received.
In conclusion, my dining experience at this restaurant was a complete disaster. The service was poor, the food quality was subpar, and the rudeness of the manager and staff was completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I will certainly be avoiding it in the future.
And to add a cherry on top this whole experience is on new year's...
Read moreFood Taste: B Food Taste compared to other Desi restaurants (Philly / North Jersey): C- Food Appearance: B+ Service: D (there is really only one real waitress here who understands what service even means).
This is actually a pretty decent restaurant, specially because there is not much competition. It deserves a solid 3 star review because food is decent but service is okay at best. If you never had Pakistani/Indian food, you will actually enjoy this place. If you have a lot of experience with Pakistani/Indian food, you will find this place decent at best.
Now onto the reason I decided to give it 2 stars instead of 3. The owner of this place is probably one of the worst people you will meet (unless you are not Desi, then he will show you a lot of love). Last time I ordered from this place was actually just a few appetizers (bill was slightly over $50). He happened to be nearby when I went to pick up the food and the waitress informed him I was picking up the samosa chat (a delicious appetizer). His response was "ofcourse, what else" in a very condescending tone like I was some cheap village boy. The real irony here is the service that this restaurant provides can be compared to that of "cheap village service". I have had a similar incident with him, so I certainly won't make the mistake of ordering from here again (not losing much business tbh). This owner is one of those "village boys" who came from poverty and thinks he has made it big with an okay restaurant business, and he...
Read moreWe used to go here all the time and love this place but after tonight’s experience I don’t think we will be back anytime soon. They have increased the prices and severely decreased the quantity of food. Literally charging us $23 for 6 tiny pieces of chicken was in itself ridiculous. Every single dish literally had 5-6 tiny tiny pieces of chicken/ goat. We are so disappointed, we basically paid for rice and curry at this point. We don’t mind paying the extra money, because we understand inflation is here but paying extra for less food is not right. On top of that scam, they handed us our bill (without showing us the whole bill) just the total and we left a good tip because the servers were pretty nice but then we got a receipt via text of our entire bill in detail and we were not told that gratuity was included so we paid a very generous tip not knowing gratuity was included. We don’t mind tipping more but just feel a little cheated that we weren’t told that gratuity was already included. Anyways, loved this place but not sure if management changed, I would not recommend eating here now unless you like paying outrageous amounts for mediocre food that barely comes with any pieces of meat. But taste itself is not too bad, but this place is only able to run the way they are because there is not any competition in the area (no other Indian...
