Pink Bakery — Restaurant in Egg Harbor

Living in Chicago but planning for a Door County wedding, we found Kim Jensen and Pink Bakery Catering two years ago while scrolling for wedding cakes on the peninsula. From our first meeting we fell in love with Kim and knew our day would be in good hands if left to her. She not only made our perfect cake (which as a baker myself was the most delicious I have ever had), but also catering and coordinating all the moving parts and pieces for our big day. She painted an amazing picture of a cocktail hour kicked off by our guests and 15 minutes after arranged for our grand arrival in a 1941 Cadillac Convertible (thanks John!). We then had time to socialize with our guests and have AMAZING hors d’œuvres and signature groom & groom drinks. Our ceremony followed overlooking stunning Green Bay and could not have been more perfect. Then the most amazing dinner with family style beef and chicken, roasted potatoes, veggies and mushroom risotto. After the party of a lifetime, Kim opened one of her restaurants for a small after-party where we all, including Kim joined in for Karaoke! As if that wasn’t more than enough, she helped us arrange a post-wedding brunch to decompress and catch up with close family and friends the next day. My wife and I booked Pink Bakery to do our wedding cake in October of 2023. Kim was incredibly helpful in helping us make decisions and providing options for cakes and desserts. She was very accessible and always responded when we had questions, both via email and on the phone. We were also able to adjust our order according to the final guest list, she was very accommodating! We are very grateful that she was able to deliver the cake herself to Sturgeon Bay, and it was absolutely fantastic. We opted for a vanilla cake with raspberry compote and a chocolate ganache drizzle for our cutting cake, and then cookies & cream cakes for the other guests. We stopped into this bakery and were greeted by a kind-hearted employee named Miranda. Miranda went to the back for a second while we decided what we wanted. Another horrible, older woman came out and was very rude right away. She asked if we’d been helped and was visibly annoyed when we didn’t respond right away. We told her we hadn’t been helped yet and she stormed to the back, shouting at Miranda. When Miranda came back, she was in tears because of how terribly this woman had treated her.
