I arrived just before the lunch rush and everyone in my party gave this place a hearty thumbs up. I enjoyed my sandwich, and the sandwiches my companions had looked good, too. I was favorably impressed with the attention that I was given, when my peculiar special order, a grilled cheese/tuna melt in a lettuce wrap, elicited a tableside visit from the person who made the sandwiches. She told me that lettuce wraps were only for cold sandwiches, but I asked her to try, and she knocked it out of the ball park! So good! What makes a deli, assuming they're using quality ingredients (which Maya's absolutely is), is sandwich selection and the staff. They have an excellent assortment of hot and cold sandwiches as well as other items and sides, and a very large assortment of drink options. The staff is what really makes this place shine though. I always call ~30 minutes before they close with a nightmare of an order (as in almost 10 changes to the standard sandwich) and they always take it with a smile and have never gotten it wrong.
