Paleteria La Reyna De Michoacan — Restaurant in El Monte

OWNER IS FINE WITH SERVING FOOD FROM THE TRASH!!! My family (group of 9) came to eat. The owner extended the plate with sandwich to my mother over the ice cream display- which is NOT a counter, not a flat surface, and too high for many people to reach over. My mother who is 5' tall didn't even have a good hold of the plate when the owner let go, which caused the food to fall on the owners side of the ice cream display. OBVIOUSLY she carelessly handed the food to my mother otherwise it would've fallen on my mother's side. We went ahead with our meals thinking naturally that she would replace the sandwich. When we asked about it, she refused adamantly blaming the dropped sandwich on my mother. Then when we mentioned how the ice cream display is not a flat or secure place to transfer food she ARGUED that it's our fault. The gall of this woman!! SHE OFFERED TO GIVE US THE SANDWICH FROM THE TRASH since she refused to make us a clean one. For the sake of a $4.99 sandwich she just lost 9 customers. The other customers who were there witnessed everything and agreed with us: this is the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! If I could give zero...

I came in here with my children... (whom are mixed with black) I never think anything of it because they were raised in a Mexican mothers household....needless to say, we were treated differently... wierd right? In a all Mexican establishment u would think that didn't exist.. and should I say it was filthy in there.... so here's my story... walked in and my kids are teens... they immediately went to the ice cream area... we were the 1st to arrive but second later 2 men walk in, followed by a lady with a child... I thought were going to be helped but the two ladies continued doing what they were doing then approached the men to help them first, even tho I had been there already then she helped the lady with the child. So, basically I was ignored for a few minutes.. I was polite and I explained that we were there 1st. I said it in Spanish.. she replied in Spanish that I will wait until she's done, then Shen can help me... WOW 😳... VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ! I was about to spend $25-30 in her store .. I just told my kids let's go and we left to another establishement.... they won't last with...

Recently visited this Place and Maria the owner helped us out with our desert selections! She was amazing very lovely lady, gave us amazing customer service. The deserts here are delicious. Definitely recommending to visit this place if you haven't. I live in Arizona, but every time I'm in California I'll be visiting...
