BURGER BROS — Restaurant in El Paso

1st tried this place mid summer 2022, around 2:30pm. I sat in their drive-through for about 5 minutes, When no one spoke to me I parked and went inside. That's when I was unapologetically told that the drive-through was broken, and that while she had seen me sitting there she was too busy to come to the window to tell me. Clearly she wasn't having a good day so I overlooked the unfriendly tone and ordered nachos to go. The nachos were good and I was pleased with the portion size for the price. While I waited for my order I watched 2 more people pull into the drive through just to get the same treatment. 1 left and 1 came in, the one that came in was told the same thing with the same lovely tone I received. I had to laugh at his puzzled look that was in response to her "well duh" attitude. As I was leaving I did a double take just to make sure that there wasn't some drive-thru closed or out of order sign that could explain her attitude..... there was a big Drive Thru sign but there was no menu up so perhaps the regulars know that means the drive through is closed. I wrote it off as miscommunication and went on with my day while I enjoyed my nachos. Today I pulled into the drive through at 1:15pm, lunch time, menu up, for sure no closed sign. I sat there and waited a while. Silence, Ignored yet again. Since my day was already challenging enough, I decided to forgo being treated like I was the idiot and I just went to Taco Bell next door. I prefer to spend my money with locally owned businesses but I know my limits and today is not a day that I could be gracious with someone giving me that attitude so i choose peaceand kept it moving. My knee jerk reaction is to leave a one star rating but I won't do that, I'm leaving 4 stars because This review is not intended to hurt this small business, I am hoping that the manager or owner sees it and will care enough to take the steps to improve future experiences for...

This is my 3rd time going here. I wanted to leave an review the first and second time. But I thought, the biggest test of any restaurant, in my mind, is consistency. People will go to a place just once and rave about it to friends and them their second time wasn't as good as the first. Or their friends will say that they hyped it up too much. But Burger Bros...... No joke, no coercion by the staff, no favors for reviews.. Top 3 best burger joint in El Paso. Here is why. Its CONSISTENTLY Great. Burger patties are cooked to perfection every time. Veggies are always fresh it seems. If you don't like all veg like myself, the burger is still great without them. Customer Service is awesome. Everyone says hi when you walk in. Even the back of house!! Lol. Sis Gris was awesome. So friendly. I speak a little Spanish and she, a little English, but yet she sat there with me making convo. So sweet and professional. ONION RINGS!!!!!!!!! BEST IN EL PASO!!!! No lie. Fries are awesome as well. With or without cheese. Just an all around great place. So between the last time we went here a few years ago and today 6/16/24 the quality has gone down hill. Idk if it was sold to new owners or what. First of all some of the staff really seems to be struggling with English as in we had to get another member of staff to help because the person could not understand what I wanted. Also only 3 staff(with one who can’t communicate with us say 1/2 of your customers) on a weekend is not enough. I get we live in a boarder city but if you’re going to be working customer facing for English speaking customers in a country that primarily speaks English you need to be moderately fluent. It would be entirely different if this restaurant was in Juarez. Secondly all the sudden the taps for beer are off and the soda fountain is off as well. So you get cans of soda with the meal. And the cups for ice don’t have lids so if you have younger kids you’re pretty sol. Also we do have a largish family (6 total) but it was an excessively long wait for food, I’ve gotten steaks faster in a busy restaurant with bigger parties. The burger was okay a bit over cooked but not unpalatable, the fries were under cooked...
