The customer service was horrible. I ordered three sandwiches so I opened each one to make sure they were correct. Well, the pastrami looked like it wasn’t made correctly because you saw a lot of bread like they put very little meat. There was hardly any pastrami, it didn’t even cover the sandwich roll, so when you open it to check it, it looks like it was missing something. Also it looked like it was a small sandwich not a medium sandwich because the bread look different from the other two sandwiches that I had ordered. So I asked the girl in the front if it was made correctly and she just laughed at me and says that’s just how we make it. I asked her to ask somebody and she rolled her eyes and gave me a blank stare. She eventually went to ask and told her boss like it was a joke and mocked me. I just said never mind because she made me feel some kind away and just proceeded to ask for my cups, and then she laughed again and told me I could’ve grabbed them in the front myself. Then I go to get the drinks and on the machine it says orange Fanta well I got a push that one and get it and nothing comes out except for carbon. So then I go to the front and ask a different girl and she chuckles at me and says we don’t have Fanta. I tell her that the machine says you do and she says well we don’t so pick something else. Then I asked the same girl that I had asked about my sandwich, if I could have extra pickles, she comes to me when I am at the beverage area with three pickles in her hands and says, do you have your sandwich boxes so I can put this somewhere. I ask her if she can just put them in a bag or a box and she rolls her eyes and says yeah I guess I can do that. Not only that, but it only takes me maybe less than 10 minutes to get back to work so we can eat, and when we do, two out of the three sandwiches were soggy. The website also asked if you want to initial the boxes and I did but no boxes had initials. I wanted to call the store to complain, but what for if I was just going to...
Read moreDisappointed in this location. I recently started eating at Firehouse again after 8 years and have to say the quality and standards have definitely dropped from the sub shop I once knew. Every single time I order from this location, the orders are wrong. Something is missing. It's disappointing to see this happen every single time. The taste is usually always good. But everything else about this franchise has seen to drop. Customer service is not the friendly smiling welcoming vibe that it used to be. Sandwiches are prepared sloppily and without care (this isn't subway guys!). The prices are high while the standards are low, too low for the high menu prices. I'm not complaining about the prices; the prices are right for the quality (or at least they once were). The often leave out their signature (the pickle) from sandwiches. I get it's "just a pickle" except it's not "just a pickle". It's a small yet large part of eating at Firehouse. It's a part of the brand and leaving it out like it's "just a pickle" is saying that the sandwiches here are just like any old deli sandwich. I'm ranting here because I once managed a Firehouse many years ago and coming from a family of a firefighter, loved to see the extra support and care they gave to public service workers, their customers and their own employees. It is disappointing to see a great establishment lose those little things that make it special, like pride in their services. Everything about Firehouse used to be amazing. From the freshest of the fresh deli meats, the soft bread, the amazing cookies, the delicious tea, the cheerful greetings of the employees, the sauce varieties. It seems like everything went from a full 10, to a "meh" 4. Not so great. Maybe it's just the management not maintaining standards, or maybe Firehouse has slowly stopped caring about...
Read moreI absolutely CAN NOT fathom or even comprehend how it takes SO LONG to make sandwiches for patrons. SANDWICHES!!! My wife and I came here for the Veterans Day special. You can see the attached photo for the TIME LINE of how long it took for them to make sandwiches. For those of us who work on Fort Bliss, we are used to long lines at Subway. But when Subway can crank out OVER 50 sandwiches in less than 45 minutes. That's when you know Firehouse is doing something wrong. It took them 1 HOUR AND 57 MINUTES to make TWO sandwiches from the time the order was placed. My wife and I ultimately left the establishment and came back roughly 40 minutes later to find hers was complete, and mine wasnt. Another 5 minutes and mine was done. Which brings it to a grand total of TWO HOURS. If an establishment wants to do a promotional deal for Veterans or the public, that's fine. But for the LOVE OF GOD!!!! Put competent and efficient staff on the schedule for that day. When we left, there was FIFTEEN unclaimed sandwiches on the rack because people got tired of waiting and left to go elsewhere. The reviews that claim this specific Firehouse subs is SLOW, they are ABSOLUTELY WARRANTED AND TRUE. Absolutely ridiculous that THREE employees take this long to make SANDWICHES. Bread, veggies, meat, condiments, toast or untoasted, doesn't matter. A sandwich is the most expedient thing someone can make and somehow these clowns managed to take a 7-10 minute task and turn it into a multi-hour process. We will never frequent this establishment again without calling to place our order 3 hours...
