If I could I would leave 0 stars. My family and I, 5 total, get to the restaurant and see its not that bust there are a few tables empty and a few empty but dirty. We are greeted by the hostess and are told to have a seat they would be right with us. We waited about 10 minutes within those 10 minutes tables started to leave so more empty dirty tables. The employees then started to clean ALL the tables and the floors. We felt completely unattended. Then another table leave and we get sat down in that one after they clean the table top. Mind you during this time the employees are still cleaning the other tables about 7 or 8 of them. We now wait at the table another 5 minutes with NO ONE showing up to at least take our drink order because the Employees are ALL cleaning the restaurant. We are fed up and get up and leave as we are walking out no one not an employees, the sushi guy a manager or supervisor approached us to see what the issue was. As I was walking out I looked back and they are all just staring at us leaving!!!! Asking each other what happened. We were eager to try this place but we will definitely go where we feel our...
Read moreMost places you go in El Paso that try to do this kind of cuisine usually opt for the Mexican blend approach to Asian food but Sakura Ramen has truly captured the time, love and hard work that it takes to put out quality food and quality experience. Karina Penaflor was the person who attended me during my time here she gave me an educational experience and an amazing one I will be coming back to have her as my waitress. As for my food I got the Jigoku ramen bowl and it comes with corn scallions pork broth and chicken Katsu. All these flavors truly blended together in such a beautiful harmony of umami and the comforting feeling of having fried food. I also enjoyed the fried gyoza 🥟 and eel sauce this perfect appetizer though light in salt was such a perfect way to start the night preparing me for a world of flavor. The last thing I enjoyed was the sake which gave perfumed flavors at first sip with caramalized plums flavors and honey at the aftertaste. This place along with its aesthetic made for such a welcoming meal and environment I recommend this highly as...
Read moreThis was me and my boyfriend’s first time going to Sakura. It was a fantastic experience. The music was at a good volume, the TVs weren’t distracting, and the service was great. Our server Karina was attentive and kind. The food was the star of the show. My boyfriend got the salmon poké and we were able to have the opportunity to watch the salmon be prepped behind the wet bar. It was a lovely experience and was reflected in how fresh the salmon was. I got the tonkatsu and for me the standout was the noodles. They were the right amount of springy and chewy. The broth wasn’t too salty, but had the right about of umami. The only thing that we weren’t expecting was that the okonomiyaki didn’t have noodles at the base of it. It was mostly batter with vegetables throughout. That being said! It was absolutely delicious. It was a very positive experience and we will be...
