Flying into ELP from the East Coast for a family event. I was asked to make lumpia gulay so called Maharlika 2 WEEKS prior to arrival date to ask if in stock. The guy who answered assured me they had them and offered to put aside 6 packs until I arrived. I gave him the exact date of our arrival 3 TIMES and thanked him. So on the date I arrived, went straight to the store from El Paso Airport and the old guy said they sold them and had none in stock!!! He also claimed he sold them because I didn’t show up to pick up even after I had to give him the exact date over the phone 3 times - he obviously didn’t pay attention or write it down. They Carry everything you would need to be able to cook delicious Filipino food at home and other things like balikbayan boxes. Sometimes they are out of some of the seasonings I need. I have also driven there only to find out they are closed for a week at a time. The other markets in town may have more variety when it comes to Japanese, Chinese, Korean options but if your looking for mainly Filipino items this is a great...
