Visited the Prickly Elder for the first time tonight. I looked at their website before going, they advertise "craft cocktails". Got there and asked the bartender if they had a drink menu, he said no, that they are working on one. I then asked him for a recommendation, for the best drink he makes, he suggested a Paloma. I said thats rather basic, he replied "they only do basic drinks". So i had the Paloma. It was made with thier cheap house tequila and a grapefruit soda from the gun. It tasted like an overly sugared fruit drink. Certainly not a craft cocktail. I couldn't even finish the drink, it was all sugary syrup. The only good thing was that horrible dink only cost me $6. They closed out a one-armed dude's tab and told him he couldn't drink anymore, and when his friend asked them why they did such a thing, a larger lady said very loudly, "that he needs to get his GIMP friend out of here". Which is completely inappropriate.
