I recently visited Amo CafĂ© with my aunt and cousin to celebrate my little cousinâs birthday. The cafe itself is adorable, everything is pink and Instagram-worthy. My cousin loved the cute decor, especially the swing and the tub filled with pink plastic balls where she took some fun photos.
Unfortunately, the service and food didnât match the atmosphere. I ordered the BLT croissant and specifically asked for cheese on the side, but it never came. My sandwich was missing tomatoes, and the croissant itself looked sad and underwhelming, barely any toppings at all. My aunt ordered the Ham croissant and had the same issue: no tomatoes and hardly any filling.
We also asked for the birthday special, which includes a cupcake with a sparkler and birthday song. It took over 10 minutes to arrive, and you could tell the server had forgotten, she quickly grabbed it after walking past our table. To make it worse, the cafe wasnât even busy. There were only two servers and a few small parties, so the delays werenât due to a full house.
When it came time to pay, I used the QR code on the receipt to pay with Apple Pay. It gave me an error, so I handed my card directly to the server. The same day, I noticed two charges on my bank account. I called the cafe and was told to wait 2â3 business days for it to clear. After three days, one of the charges went through and the other dropped, but now the same amount that cleared is still showing as pending on my account. Itâs very frustrating and confusing, especially considering the meal wasnât cheap.

When I asked the manager how many in each portion she didnât answer. The manager Claudia was by far the worst part about our visit. After we told her about the issues my our food she just said thank you for letting me know and walked away. My sister was missing her extra side of chicken and they only had two other tables the place wasnât even busy. We asked for a designe on our amo cafe signature they ran out of ink, thatâs what they called it. We asked for boxes to go and not even the manager could find them. It was the worst experience Iâve ever had Claudia the manager was so disrespectful snatched the check out of my hands all she did was thanked me for letting her know how bad the food was,when o asked her to remove the protein portion she said no because I ordered it it wasnât her fault and didnât eat it, respectfully I said no I didnât order it that was brought up it extra my sister had order chicken and they later brought two lates out thatâs why we left one the extra. We will not be returning. Such a beautiful place with such horrible service. Please donât waist your time and money just go buy a coffee to go(hopefully they find the cups before it gets cold) or a dessert and take picture because itâs not worth the dine it. My daughter wanted to celebrate her birthday here. We paid the deposit, selected the menu items specific to her party, to include a high tea and fondue experience. The balance was liquidated 3 weeks ahead of time. The day of the party, the manager I was working with was not there. The room was not ready for us and it was extremely hot. 20 minutes into the party a young lady said that we still owed a balance. I told her that was incorrect and provided my original receipt, which I requested back and did not receive. She never came back. My daughter and her friends begin ordering their drinks and their food from the full menu. The personalized menu we had agreed on was not there. I explained to the waitress that I had paid for high tea and fondue but to cancel it bc the girls had already ordered their food. She apologized and said that there was not good communication amongst the staff. At the end of the party they bring me a bill for all the things that werenât covered, which was over $200. There were things on the bill that werenât ordered and they refused to fix it. When I questioned it, she said âthatâs the price. If you donât like it, donât come.â Their customer service is non-existent, there is no organization, and AWFUL management. We were treated as an inconvenience, at best.
