This place used to be an awesome place to live at. If you are thinking of moving in, you must take into consideration a BUNCH of things.
First of all, the manager or landlady Isela is not very nice to work with if you have an issue. If you go above her and try to file a complaint with upper management you will get a âlease violationâ for wanting to speak to anyone other than her.
This place will nickel and dime you for everything. If your key fob breaks or if your keys break due to no fault of your own, good luck explaining that to the manager because she will not only be very unprofessional with her response telling you that she knows how âkeys function and that they do not break immediatelyâ essentially calling you a liar. They will demand money upfront and service later.
She puts on a nice front for being nice but if you really need help with something, be ready to shell out the money to pay for services that are usually free or low cost at other properties.
Next, the elevator breaks down CONSTANTLY and sometimes for days at a time which is ridiculous for any handy cap personnel or expectant mothers. For the amount of money that you have to pay, a permanent fix should be provided instead of frequent patchwork servicing done to temporarily fix the issue. Be ready to risk getting stuck and trapped there like many other residents have.
Parking? Forget about it. You will be competing against other residents and even the maintainer and manager who take up resident parking spaces further limiting the already scarce parking made only for the tenants.
The apartments are nice and it would be a nice place to live if the property owners werenât raising the prices of the rent randomly without further improvement to the apartments and property itself.
This place is supposed to be about being able to further your artistic self and become a part of an artistic community but sad to say if you donât already sort of know the people here, you probably wonât see much of other artists outside of the small events and meetings they have every so often.
Renting the community space is a PAIN, the property will try to keep your deposit by finding any little excuse that they can to do so and donât even have the gallery room available for events half the time anyway.
Youâd be better off just trying your luck on your own and renting something more affordable, with friendlier management, cleaner workspaces and a better artistic community elsewhere.
Not worth the hundreds of thousands of dollars that you will be spending here just for the sake...
