Amazing food and great service. I had orange chicken and it was very good but we ordered some other chicken and it was dry but still good like popcorn chicken. Overall an amazing place to get food.
Great Wall Chinese Takeout in El Reno, Oklahoma is a hidden gem that has left a lasting impression on my taste buds. As a self-proclaimed lover of Chinese cuisine, I am always on the lookout for exceptional dining experiences, and Great Wall certainly delivered. From the moment I stepped inside to the last bite of my meal, I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food, friendly service, and overall dining experience.
One of the standout aspects of Great Wall Chinese Takeout is the extensive menu, which offers a diverse range of traditional Chinese dishes. From popular classics like General Tso's Chicken and Kung Pao Shrimp to lesser-known delights such as Ma Po Tofu and Szechuan Eggplant, there is something to satisfy every palate. The menu also includes various vegetarian and gluten-free options, catering to a wide array of dietary preferences.
During my visit, I had the pleasure of sampling several dishes, and each one was a flavor sensation. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was perfectly balanced, with a tangy yet sweet sauce that complemented the tender chicken. The Mongolian Beef was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with just the right amount of spice. The Vegetable Lo Mein was a delightful medley of fresh vegetables, tossed with noodles that had the ideal texture. Every dish was a testament to the skill and expertise of the chefs in the kitchen.
Apart from the delectable food, the service at Great Wall was top-notch. The staff members were welcoming, attentive, and more than willing to offer recommendations and answer any questions I had about the menu. They made the dining experience all the more enjoyable, ensuring that my needs were met promptly and with a smile. The efficiency of the takeout service was also commendable; my order was ready within the estimated time, hot and packed securely.
The ambiance of Great Wall Chinese Takeout further enhanced my dining experience. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, with tasteful Chinese décor that added to the overall charm. While it primarily caters to takeout, there were a few tables available for those who preferred to dine in. The pleasant background music and relaxed atmosphere made it a comfortable and inviting space to enjoy a meal.
In terms of value for money, Great Wall offers generous portion sizes at reasonable prices. The quality and quantity of the food exceeded my expectations, making it an excellent option for both solo diners and families alike. The affordability, combined with the exceptional taste, make this establishment a go-to choice for Chinese cuisine enthusiasts in El Reno.

Read moreA Plastic Experience. Although there is a small dining room for eat-in patrons, this establishment does not deliver a sit-down dining experience. We were stopped at the front counter to order before finding a table. We ordered iced tea and were told they did not have any. We opted for water and two bottles were handed from a refugerated case. It was clear that the order taker did not understand our food order and consequently, our order was wrong - we asked for soup AND eggrolls, and didn't realize that was a problem until the food came to the table. Everything was brought at once, so you must decide if you want to eat your entree while it's hot and chase it with cold egg drop soup yuk or vice versa. It simply was not a relaxing or leisurely time and servers never checked on us. The entrees were served on an 8" styrofoam plate, the soup came in a plastic to-go container. We were each given a PLASTIC fork and spoon. I don't care how tender the chicken, pork or veggies may be, the utensils were laughably inadequate. We asked for knives. Yup. Plastic knife to punch right through the Styrofoam plate. The food was good but we won't go back, probably not even for take-out. This was our third attempt to find reliably good Chinese food after the restaurant we patronized for 20 years closed. It's become a venture of disappointment. We miss...
Read moreCan I rate this place 50 stars. I love coming here! I often go on my lunch breaks at work. Their food is excellent no matter what you order. They have lunch specials from 11-2 that are perfect for most working people on a break.
The one thing I like more then anything though is their customer service. I have never met friendlier people in my life.
One day I went their on my lunch break, ordered my food. When it was done I went to pay. I actually forgot my debit card at home without realizing it with no cash on me. I had to get back to work though! The cashier said don't worry about it just pay the next time you come in. I went back the next day and bought 5 orders of food for my whole family and spent close to 50 dollars more on top of what I owed because THIS is customer service.
I have so much respect for the family that works here. I'm proud to say they are a part of the town I'm from.
Great food, Great people, Amazing atmosphere! You cannot go wrong...
