I have been here 3 times now over several years. Only because I believe in giving a place multiple chances. Never again. The 3 times I went are in my top 5 worst dining experiences. Horrible service. Tasteless food. Waiting 1.5 hours for yogurt to come and then for it to be tossed on to the table so hard that most of it spilled out on to the table is not a good start to the meal. Then when I took a spoonful, I could taste that it had gone bad. I tried for another 30 minutes to get anyone's attention, but all employees were purposely avoiding my eyes because they could tell I wanted something. I even walked back up to the front door to get the attention of the person seating customers. Again, was avoided. I couldn't even get a check. So even though neither of us got any food that was edible, and were still starving, I left enough cash to cover the bill. Ruined what was supposed to be a nice morning out with my daughter. Decided about a year later to try again. After waiting over an hour for someone to take my order, I left. My 3rd attempt started better than the others. My order was taken 25 minutes after being seated. Things were looking up. Unfortunately, I never got my coffee through the entire meal. And the food I was served was so tasteless that I honestly couldn't tell you what it was. The 3 others at the table said something before I did because I thought maybe I was being overly critical. Nope. They all said that they couldn't taste a thing. They couldn't even remember what they had ordered because we waited so long for the food, so they couldn't remember if it was supposed to be sweet or salty. I am very forgiving as a customer and give a lot of chances, but this place has used them all up. There are too many other fantastic family run restaurants in the area that actually want...
Read moreThe regulations for Toast are similar to all of the other places in Florida. Enter the place with a mask to speak with the host about seating, and to avoid breathing on the people in the waiting area which is incredible small here at Toast. Once you get called to be seated, you may take your mask off. The restaurant is not seating at full capacity which does require a longer wait but that is your choice if you decide to go out to eat, so be prepared. Besides all of the COVID-19 restrictions, the experience was quite enjoyable. I ordered a pancake combo which was impeccable. My boyfriend ordered a French toast sandwich but was not as impressed. It was very delicious to me. My boyfriend did not think that the French toast with salty food in the sandwhich was a good idea. I’m not sure why he ordered that if he knew French toast is sweet, but anyways.. everything was great ! We will definitely be back to enjoy a brunch one of these days. It’s just such a hassle now in days going out to eat; going out to do anything for that matter ! It’s truly a mission to just go around the corner now. Aside from everything, toast is doing what they can to continue to follow the CDC guidelines in hope of maintaining the restaurant open. Supporting the restaurants even in this time will help them to stay open after this is all over. COVID-19 is taking extremely long to pass, but enjoying a nice meal at a place like Toast helps to make it a...
Read moreFirst time eating here today. Waited for a table but not to long. Waited longer for the server to come over, he took my order. Food arrived, I got Biscuits and Gravy with scrambled eggs on top, it was hot. I have never had Biscuits that were grilled with Gravy, they were crispy and crunchy, some had a slightly burnt taste. But I ate it anyway, I was hungry. Server didn't come back to see if I needed anything until he brought the check, I asked for another drink, while i was waiting i found a piece of plastic that was about 2". Serve never cane back with my drink but I did see him at other tables. I got a bus boy that was at the next table and told him about the plastic, he really had nothing to say except do I want to server. I told him he was supposed to bring me a drink and never came back so no. I got up to go party the check, the girl at the front asked how everything was, I told her not good. Service was not good etc. Told her about the plastic and all she says was ohhh, I'm sorry. She had a dumbfounded look. Took my money to pay the bill but never once said wait let me get the manager. I get things happen, I've been a server before. But for neither one of their employees to know how to deal with it is wrong. I will not be...
