Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Elizabeth

. first off service was horrible. I mean horrific. It started by my partner ordered amaretto sour. The server looked completely confused and said no we don't sell that. I decided to go to the bar to ask if they make the drink. Because I was taken back while standing at the bar, another server asked, "Can I help you? Can you find out if they make this drink. He said, "Where are you sitting?" He followed me and said I'll place the order. While waiting for drink for 15/20 mins. The salad was dropped off. And we needed extra dressing. Low and behold, that was another wait. We probably have asked 2 other people other than the server. The server disappeared. Then he appeared and we asked him. Ok, the salad was eaten up without the extra dressing. Then the drink came finally came. we were looking at the drink in a bizarre look because what was dropped off was the actual amaretto shot, that's it. It was not the mixed drink. So agian looking for the server, nowhere to be found. Another female server came up to asking are you guys ok. Do you need help. So we told her we don't want this drink we asked for amaretto sour and this was dropped off, we ask for dressing and still waiting. So we were already annoyed. So the food came again. The server never came to ask if we we good, any refills on drinks, anything. Ask for the check. That check came faster than any dressing and drink that we ordered. Paid the bill and left. Then I forgot my umbrella. Called the store. Told them where we were sitting. No one saw the umbrella. How ironic. Service...

I've been mostly enjoying my visits to Applebee's since I been here for work staying in a hotel. Until last night when I decided to come back there after having lunch (delicious). So I came back for a couple drinks and everything was fine until I asked to sit outside on the patio. First I was told no,okay then I was approached and told it was okay. So I went out there and waited for a service. It took a while so I asked the sever that was closest. He barked at me telling he was busy and he had 6 tables and would get to me.I returned to my seat outside. Me and another gentleman were out there. He went in to get a drink from the bar for he and I. He was told I was not getting served. He asked why and was told I was a problem. Meanwhile I was outside getting service from the server who previously told me to wait. I commented to him that he should not tell a customer, he is busy and to wait. He left with a smirk on his face . Soon he returned with drinks for myself and my friend. My friend returned to the table with a drink from the bar. Then suddenly the manager appeared telling us the patio was closed and belligerent with and attitude and left when I said I would record the event going back inside and locking the door. My friend said he was leaving. I said I done nothing wrong was not we sat and finished our drinks and security approached us. I told them my story and they walked away and the police showed up. They never approached me...

so 2 months ago I took my son and a friend for dinner to this Applebee's and it was the 2nd worst Applebee's I've been to. We arrive around 2:30 on a Saturday and after waiting for a while the host finished her social chat with her friend and directed her attention to us and we asked her for a table and she said it would be like 20 to 25 minutes cause they were busy, yes they were busy but we could see that there were empty tables but OK we sat down and waited and after 17 minutes we were called. She took us to the table and sat us down a waiter came and gave us the menu and asked us if we wanted to drink something and we ordered. 10 minutes went by still nothing and then i started at that point saying hello somebody cause the waiters were just passing by us and finally this other waiter came and again he took our drink order and food order and we told him bring the appetizers 1st and give us some time before the entree oh no after like 25 minutes he came with cold tomato basil soups and the entree and drinks. so we were like looking at each other like did he not understand us?? And then again he left to be seen again after long time with the check in hand. it was the worst service ever. and i paid and he didn't even bring the check back cause i told him keep the change which i was wondering...
