The new location sucks. They moved because they wanted drive thru, but if you don't know, they use smaller portions for drive thru orders. You gotta look them in the eyes as they make it so they put enough food on there. And don't go near closing or lunch, it's crowded and you're more likely to order when they are almost out of an ingredient so they give you less. Get burrito bowls as my friends who works there says they are the easiest for the employees to make and they put the most food in them (maybe burritos have more; I'm not a burrito fan so I don't know that we'll) This is all just general Chipotle advice. The actual quality of the food is always good, no matter how much I get, and I'm left wanting more every time. This location specifically gets 1 star because of the small amount of space. There's barely any room for the line and no outdoor seating. The old location was much better. It was a huge place which always had seats available and many employees working on all areas of the store. The new minimal drive thru oriented stores are so much worse. Also, parking is so hard to get to in this tiny roadside strip mall next to Walmart. You have to squeeze in the one way road going around the front of the store and it's no fun. The old location didn't have great parking either (it's a strip mall in the sea of high traffic roads, what do you expect?) None is this is the employees fault, they have to follow a lot of rules by the corp, so be nice to then. So, overall, great food but I would go to a different location, like Streets of Woodfield, it's a better place in general, even for takeout which is what I normally get.
UPDATE 1/28/25: Google emailed me that "My review is helping in a big way".
Fun. Either way, I was in town recently and went to Streets of Woodfield to get myself some fresh inauthentic Mexican food from Chipotle. (I will say, out of all "Americanized" foods, Chipotle certainly takes the cake for being "not completely unrecognizable") I was disappointed to find that they had closed the Streets of Woodfield location and moved their Schaumburg operations to Meacham Rd. south of Golf, west side of the road. It's one of those new drive-thru ones and it has all the same problems as this (Rolling Meadows) one. So, choose the one that's closer to you. They are both equally bad. Honestly at this point the majority of Chipotles are like this so I'm losing hope in the higher-ups to make good decisions. They aren't turning around on this idea. Either that, or they are falling for the sunk cost fallacy. I don't want to phrase this like Chipotle is a bad place to eat. Reading this review after forgetting about it for a while, I realize I'm coming off as quite the narcissist. I don't want to be that guy. Chipotle still has great food. The recipe has not changed. I prefer to order in person over drive-thru because I believe I can get much more "control" over my meal than letting them do it without me watching them, but I have no way to prove that one is better than the other. In the end, I will still go to Chipotle, even if their new locations aren't as good as the ones I remember. Mostly because I'm always receiving gift cards, but also because I genuinely still like the food. Luckily for me, I'm in a more densely populated area now and the Chipotle near me is pretty good. I don't know for sure, but it's probably not at risk of being replaced by a car-centric design. So I don't have to deal with the Rolling Meadows and Schaumburg and all the other drive-thru locations they have now. I'm thinking of this almost as a "McDonalds-ization" of the brand. They want to be the right-off-the-highway grab and go fast food place that McDonald's is, but with their own vibe and recipe. They're succeeding at becoming that, but I believe this is coming at the cost of the customers who really care. I hope it gets better, because I really do like Chipotle, however much I say bad things about it. Either way, this update is probably longer than the original review, but y'know I just felt like writing about...
Read moreAttend, noble citizens, for I must regale thee with a tale of valor and virtue from the hallowed halls of Chipotle, where one known as Dylan doth reign supreme. His service, as swift as Mercury’s flight, didst bring forth joy unto my humble soul. With a countenance fair and full of mirth, he did greet me as a gladiator greets a comrade on the field of battle. Verily, his hands did wield the implements of his craft with precision, constructing my meal as though he were crafting a fine armor for a worthy knight.Thine eyes wouldst scarce believe the grace with which he moved, for each gesture was as fluid as the rivers of Rome, flowing without flaw or hesitation. And lo! His voice, sweet and melodious, didst ring forth with words of cheer, as if the gods themselves had imbued him with their celestial warmth. 'Twas not merely his skill with the food, but the fire in his spirit, which made mine experience divine. In truth, he is a paragon of service, a warrior in the arena of hospitality. I did not wait long, for his swiftness rivaled that of a lion chasing its prey. His kindness did shine brighter than the sun at noonday, making each step through the line a blessed journey. No frown or scorn marred his face; instead, his smile was as a shield, guarding all from the slings and arrows of daily strife. Oh Dylan, thou art a titan amongst mortals, a true hero of the humble Chipotle battlefield. Wouldst thou ever be in need of accolade or praise, know that mine heart doth offer both with the full strength of its being. For such a one as thee, whose service is as noble as any sword or shield, deserves the...
Read morei send this with love because i truly wish this store to grow stronger.
if it was a place i liked to go to i would go there more 100%… i’m driving now out of my way to go to a different chipotle location… things would be simpler for me if i liked going to this location…
i never leave reviews but it’s such a shame what happened to this place once it moved across the street i feel the need to say something.
i’ve been here several times since the move and each time i have been disappointed with the food and service.
portions feel skimpy, especially with the vinaigrette sauce (i always have to ask for extra, which they give me but i hate asking and what if i found out after i left?)
idk what happened but i felt dizzy last time i went there, i am prone to headaches but the feeling this food gave me is the primary reason i am not coming back to this location anytime soon
i get the sense that some employees don’t want to be there, which is a real shame. chipotle can be one of the best parts of my day, fast quality food, i love it. the employees i am referring to seem blind to the joy they are helping spread acting like what they’re doing isn’t a big deal or seem annoyed to be there. as a result i leave there more depressed than i would otherwise.
just another reason to drive across town to this place a...
