A friend told me of this place 2 yrs ago and I've been putting it off until tonight. So very glad i stopped in and gave it a try, everything was great, friendly and helpful. My usual way to try a new Sushi place is to order Sake (Salmon nigiri) and that tells me whether or not its a good or bad sushi place, but tonight I wanted to try their signature roll (Sushi Q roll) except I ordered mine without the sriracha sauce as I'm a big wimp when it comes to spicy food. The roll was incredible with lots of bangin flavors, it just hit the spot, the 2nd roll (Elk Grove roll) was huge but lacked taste and they say it's their most popular roll. I'm not a roll guy I just need to try some rolls to bring the girlfriend out of her comfort zone of Wasabi's (Adel role) that's made perfect for her. I believe Sushi Q has a new roll for her, stay tuned. My fav is Chirashi and the chef claims theirs is the best so I have to go back and try it.

Always fresh & always packed. Try to go there for their low times bc you will almost certainly be waiting on a list, unless you're dining alone (: For a small restaurant though their flavors and style will pack a punch in your taste buds. Really unique rolls and has a relaxed vibe there. I went when they first opened and I'm still going now. I look forward to a new menu, & to seeing more creative rolls created. It's 2023 and I'd like to post an updated review. I was quit dissapointed with the sushi I ordered today. The flavors seemed to have changed quite a bit. I ordered 4 rolls and one roll took the whole time we were there to come out, I have no idea why. I have to say there is quite too much sauce on the sushi rolls now and their flavors don't balance as well as they use too. Each roll I ate had very overpowering ingredients that took away from the roll. Maybe it's a hit or miss, maybe today was a bad day. Sushi Q is always consistent in their rolls and flavors, I miss the simplicity of their rolls before. The flavors were well balanced and their was so much love in each roll. I declined eating at another sushi joint to come here and am so sad at what I received. The customer service was good, our server communicated with us often, we did have to ask for water and I did ask where our roll was. Dunno if I'll go again. 08/16/2024 Went again and it went well. It took them roughly 45 minutes to get our rolls out to us.

We have been going to Sushi Q for years now! It was a happy accident when we stumbled across this unassuming spot in a strip mall. The atmosphere is great, the quality of the fresh fish is phenomenal, the service is good, and the vibe is cool. If you love oysters, theirs are some of the best! My favorite dishes include the Tuna Blossom app, Chirashi plate, Uncle J roll, and Salmon Skin Hand Roll. My kids go crazy for the Teriyaki Chicken— and even I think it is delicious, and I don’t love the sweetness of teriyaki. My husband enjoys the Baby Calamari— it is always perfectly fried and has a great spice to it. The restaurant is pretty small, so expect a wait if you go during peak times. But, they also seem to do a heck of a Take Out business. We’ve gotten food to go there before— and it is always still great when we get it all the way home to Galt. Overall, this is my favorite sushi spot in Sacramento… we will always be back!

If you're searching for a next-level sushi experience that will leave your taste buds begging for more, look no further this place is an absolute a flavor bomb. From the moment you step in, you're hit with the fresh aroma of premium ingredients and a warm, modern ambiance that sets the tone for what's to come. The sushi? Unreal. Each piece is a masterfully crafted work of art meltingly tender fish atop perfectly seasoned rice, with a burst of umami in every bite. Chef Qui made me a spicy tuna hand roll it was a showstopper, combining with chili oil and young onions and a touch of truffle oil for a luxurious mouthfeel that lingered long after the bite was gone straight-up addictive!

But it doesn't stop there. The signature rolls are daring, balanced, and absolutely loaded with flavor every bite delivers a textural and taste explosion, unlike anything you've had before.

And beyond sushi? This place brings it, even the appetizers like the lobster tempura and the pepperfin are unforgettable. The staff? Incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. Every recommendation hit the mark, and the service was timed to perfection. Bottom line: this is not just dinner, it’s an experience. Every dish is a flavor journey that leaves you speechless. Prepare to be wowed. Prepare to crave it again the second you leave. Thank you Chef Qui for the experience...

So happy to see more family owned restaurants in these retail shopping centers!

1st time coming here on Saturday, consisted of us ordering 3 rolls: Sushi Q The Kimmie Spicy Tuna

All really good and the one with bacon...uh hell yeah I'm ordering it again! Definitely going to explore their menu and try all the different rolls they offer. I think next time we bring the kids, who aren't sushi fans, we'll have them order the plates. It looks like it comes with a lot of food for them.

Waitress was really on point. Checking on us often enough but not hovering, as well as knowing which rolls we might like when we asked about different types of rolls.

Owners were so friendly as well. Asking what we ordered and which rolls we enjoyed more, overall making sure everything came out to our liking.

Pet Peeves: Thank you for not being like "some" Stockton Blvd restaurants that only want turnover and try to get pushy with the check to free up tables. It started to get busy as we were finishing up. Happy with our meal, we actually felt it would be good to free up our table faster so they could accommodate. We'd want to come and chill here too!!

Bottom line: No need to drive or bike across town for good sushi & sake if you live...
