I've been going here since I was a baby. It's tradition to get a kiddie cocktail and the cheese and crackers. You should plan at least 2 hours for dinner time... Order the C&C, have a drink from the full bar, and just enjoy the atmosphere. This place has tons of history and if you're from Elkhart, it's likely you see someone you know. Don't be afraid of the neighborhood... There seems to be some unspoken respect for Michael's guests. Maybe I'm just naive 😊. Anyways, go treat yourself.

The sauce is the best ever. Layers of flavor. We enjoyed the ample sized lasagna and "bar meatballs." The meatballs are near baseball sized smothered in sauce with grilled onions, green peppers and mushrooms then covered...really covered with cheese. Try the hot bacon dressing if you're having a salad. Great service. We almost drove away because the restaurant is in a neighborhood, not really business district. It is an older building. The dining area is quite nice and very comfortable.

I’ve been coming here for as long as I can remember & it’s by far the best Italian restaurant in the area. I live in Florida now & crave the chicken parm & fried ravioli weekly, but have to wait until I visit IN in order to get my fix 😂. My family has created a lot of memories here over the years as well as making new memories with my now husband. I’ll be a forever customer & look forward to many more years of memories & amazing delicious food! I’ll add more pictures when I find them

While the outside looks a little rundown and not in the best of neighborhoods this place will definitely fool you. It is nice inside as well as the people that are serving you. The food was excellent and the proportions at lunch were huge, so I can't even imagine what the dinner portions would be. I took my leftovers home and ate them for the next 2 days. I definitely cannot wait to go back and try something else. Like I said the staff was very nice and accommodating. Yum yum.

My family has been getting pizza from Micheal's for almost 50 years, but we stopped when family was no longer able to go and when I moved from Elkhart. While visiting recently, I stopped in for a large pepperoni pizza. The taste is exactly as I remember. The crust has a nice crunchy rim and a great chew. The sauce isn't too thick, or applied too heavily. The cheese is ample, without being stringy. The closest style it resembles is Chicago tavern style. Great pizza.

Delicious Italian food !! Located in a small neighborhood filled with locals. The smell of sauce overwhelms you as you enter the door. It reminds me of grandmas home made sauce simmering on the stove and the aroma of fresh spices. The chicken parmigiana is outstanding. There is something for everyone on the menu. All modestly priced with a nice small bar for cocktails. Try it,you will love it
