North Garden — Restaurant in Elkhart

They have good food there when it's fresh the last time I went in there three days ago I had to wait for fresh food the chicken was all hard it was at the bottom of the pan people were standing around waiting for more they don't have to wear gloves or anyting where they get their food everybody's touching everything it's kind of disgusting that will be my last trip there to get anything from that place they need to be more sanitary than what they are you have a lot of people that come in there and eat because it's really that expensive but they don't monitor the people that come in there that's dirty grimy and putting their hands into everything they should offer gloves for them to get their food they should keep fresh food at all times some of the foods that you can taste this she like it it's been cooked and with some fish even though it's not like your coconut chicken and things like that I'm allergic to all seafood so I stay away from seafood sometimes I've gotten the food and could not eat it because it had a fishy taste they would have a good business there if they would keep the food fresher monitor people that come in they're with dirty hands I think they should offer gloves for people to put on their hands to get their food they need to be cleaner and...

Friendly staff, nice service and selection of food. Place was clean and had a warm feel to it. Bathroom was clean yet could use some repairs. Handicap parking however unless you have company to hold doors you might have done trouble if you use a cane, Walker out wheelchair. I personally liked how they gave you the option of a ceramic plate or disposable plate.

Only gave three stars because the food was only fair. Out of 11 items I tried, including sauces, they were either room temperature or slightly warmer. Not the hot temperature I normally find when eating out. The two items containing seafood had a sour, expired taste. The imitation crab was rubbery and the shrimp was almost mushy.. The wonton had a sour taste however I believe it's from a sauce they had inside the filling, not the normal sweet cream cheese I have found in other locations. The mussels were among the best I have ever had! I could have ate a full plate on only these! I did however enjoy the egg roll. It's been a long time since i had one with vinegar in it!! The pork dishes were tuff and hard. The chicken and broccoli was amazing!!!

If changes are made with the keeping of the food I would love to come back and try this...

My husband and I had dinner here last night, and it was the worst Chinese Buffet we had ever been to. I asked the waitress three times for my water not to have lemon in it, my water arrived with a lemon in it. The items on the buffet were very minimal, and a lot of the basic buffet items were missing. When we tasted our food it was awful. The sign above the coconut shrimp said "coconut chicken- lunch coconut shrimp- dinner" and upon taking a bite I realized that I had chicken, it was 7pm, it should have been shrimp. The food was cold, and we decided that we couldn't eat it. So, we went and complained to the management (who couldn't speak English) and had the cashier translate for us. We were then told that the power had gone out at noon, and what was on the buffet was left over from before the outage!!! Apparently, they don't have a concept of food safety. We were given a pathetic discount, not sure why we paid for it all, but because it was the right thing to do we paid for it. We will never be visiting this...
