Its sterile. So much so, that when I came back from the restroom, the busboy had my phone in his hand, looking for me. I had just been sat, and only received my drink.
I last ate at Olive Garden in early 2018 in TX. The prices have doubled since then.
I ordered an appetizer, and 2 entrees, 1 for there, and one to go. I had the 9oz house blush.
OG servers used to box your leftovers at the table for you so there were no spills, etc. Now theyre not allowed to touch it except to bring it out, and take away dishes.
They used to bring a fresh batch of breadsticks to take home with your leftovers automatically, now they dont.
The breadstick ends got hard while I was eating my food, to where I had to break the end off, and set it aside. I was only there for roughly 40 min.
The sirloin tips on the gorgonzola were tough, chewy, and gristle stringy. Per the menu, the tips are cooked to medium, but mine were very well done.
The Tour of Italy is hard to get wrong. My dad enjoyed it when I got home.
Within the time I received my food, and arrived home, the lettuce on my salad was wilted and soggy. Order the dressing on the side.
Speaking of dressing, I was informed they no longer had their signature creamy caesar dressing, which is actually sold in grocery stores, only the italian and ranch. I was utterly confused by this because I have a bottle of it at home.
My server was super sweet in personality, but not knowledgeable about the menu, and did not anticipate my needs for takeout boxes when I sat and waited for her to return to check on me after I finished, so that I could ask for boxes. I assumed placing my finished dishes to the opposite side of the table was signal enough.
The price with tip, 2 entress, 1 appetizer, and 1 drink, was $70.
The store was not busy at 230pm. It was very clean, and employees were professional in that they maintained distance and were not personable. Robotic is a good description. Vastly...
Read moreI'm not one to give anything below a 3 star without looking at positives... but this was not good, or even alright at all. This was my first (and probably the last) time ever going to a Olive Garden. I've heard great things from many people about Olive Garden, so my expectations were set a bit high I must admit. I don't know if its cause this location just lacked that day, but what I experienced wasn't good. I've had leftovers when I was child when my parents went out, and let me say, the leftovers from when I was a kid tasted amazing compared to visiting and dining here. (The leftovers were just bread sticks) The food was seriously greasy, which is expected in some Italian cuisine, but it looked like my dish had 2 sticks of butter melted onto it before putting my food on it. Food was also ghastly, tasted very weird, and I enjoy Italian cuisine, I'm part Italian! Silverware was gross, looked like someone just took them under a facet, ran water over it, and call it good. There were food bits stuck on the fork, and the knife had grease and some weird dark smudge on it, so that was great, I had to request my silverware to be cleaned THOROUGHLY. Bread sticks were the Highlight of my dinner experience, and even then, they tasted stale. Service was mundane, and not helpful. I had to literally track down a staff member to get a to go box for my sister, as they barely had come by to check up on how things were. (Maybe they were understaffed? Still not an excuse on management's part then) I would not recommend going here, and I hope to God there are better Olive Gardens, cause I am willing to give a 2nd chance to many things, even though I had a...
Read moreAMAZING! Alyssa is the best. Our family and friends who are family make the trip from Ohio to Notre Dame every year for a football game. We stay in Elkhart and always have a wonderful experience here. We decided on Olive Garden after a full day of traveling and visiting the campus. Let me tell you - this was the best dining out experience I have had in a really long time! We were treated with patience and value by the hostesses and were seated much sooner than expected. One of our party had a birthday, so our server Alyssa helped us plot a surprise "happy birthday" song (which sounded so professional, by the way, as well as a complimentary birthday dessert. Thanks Alyssa!
My 6 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and then Celiac - so we are in the process of changing her to a completely gluten-free diet and letting her try new GF foods. When we ordered the GF pasta, Alyssa asked if this was an allergy so she could alert the kitchen, which I found extremely thoughtful. When our food was brought to our table, before adding any cheese, it was confirmed it was okay and safe for her to have! Navigating chronic autoimmune diseases in your child is overwhelming, so feeling understood and valued meant the absolute world to me!
If I could hug Alyssa and let her know how much her thoughtfulness, kindness, and amazing service meant to me, I would.
I also appreciated the manager coming to our table and making sure we enjoyed our meal.
10/10 would definitely eat here again! Thank you again and give Alyssa...
