Hello,

I am extremely frustrated! Please assist me with my complaint by directing me to a contact for corporate. My original reservation was from June 27th to June 29. We were traveling for a swim meet. I checked out on the 28th due to the accommodations being unacceptable.

My rooms were on the "pet "friendly" wing of the hotel despite confirming "no pets". I walked the building in the early morning of the 28th noticing a distinct difference in how the other floors smelled compared to mine. Room 105 had mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The toilet did not have sufficient power to remove waste with one flush. Paint was chipping in the tub. Calcium was built up on the shower head. The bathroom door had to be forced shut. There were stains on the bedroom floor and the room had a faint moist cigarette smoke odor.

Room 109 had similar issues. The room felt clammy. The lamp shades were stained. The grout lines of the bathroom floor transitioned from Grey to black in the higher trafficked area. This felt unhygienic. The shower head was stained with calcium deposits and the tub had chipped paint. The lamp cord in yhe bedroom was plugged in an adjacent wall socket creating a tripping hazard.

I went to the front desk and spoke with "Danny" about my concerns. He attempted to accommodate me with similar rooms on the second floor. But upon seeing the initial room with chipped paint, I declined. "Danny" explained that the building was being renovated and updates were coming soon. He showed me an image of what appeared to be marble in the bathroom. I empathize with that, but my experience was far from that image, or the images they advertised. Maybe other guests were privileged to stay in the renovated sections of the building. Danny stated that he would refund me the amount for 28th to 29th but would not consider any discount for the previous night's disappointing accommodations. I exclaimed that there was nowhere for us to go to make additional impromptu reservations due to so many families travelling and participating in this swim meet! He remained unapologetic for the accommodations.

I have videos and photos to substantiate my complaint.

Thank...

TL;DR: It's affordable and like another review says, you get what you pay for. We arrived at this hotel, and it looks very impressive from the outside. The inside does have a bit of a funky odor, and there are several printer-paper signs advertising that you have to sign into the pool and get a "wrist belt" or you get charged an exorbitant fee (like $500).

When I asked the receptionist the reason for this bizarre rule, he just said, "Rules are rules."

Fair, I guess.

I decided I had to see this impressive pool that was under such intense guardsmanship. What I found was a clean patio with plastic lounge chairs, which is fine.

What was not fine was the pool having many bugs and leaves in it, and no net or means for guests to clean it if they choose.

The breakfast was... Fine. It was perfectly serviceable, and the biscuits and gravy was pretty good, uf you cut up some sausage links in it.

That being said, the highlight of this place is the friendliness of the staff. All of the cleaning staff were very professional and greeted us every time we saw them. There aren't many people running this place, and it's impressive that they manage what they do.

One other thing ro note, the hallways are DARK, so people with sight impairment may have a hard time navigating.

The price is great. Very affordable and convenient for a quick stay or a night away.

So, you get what you pay for. 3/5 (but...

VERY CLEAN, NO BUGS Our trucking company referred this hotel to us while in Indiana. The $53 a night price had me skeptical. The location is great with many shops and places to eat. Buffalo Wild Wings is located in the same parking lot. Perfect! I was totally surprised when I walked in the secured side door, and the clean smell greeted me. (Secured door AND clean smelling off the bat 2 for 2!) Our room was very clean, but we had very minor issues. Vanity light bulb out, NO wall light fixture, stained top sheet, trim and wall touch up paint needed. The fridge and microwave were clean, but one them was buzzing loudly at night. The water pressure was fine in the shower. The walls are thin, so be prepared to hear noises like snoring. (Which I heard. lol) Breakfast was the standard fare. Fruit, yogurt, waffles, eggs, sausage, and biscuits. There is a popcorn machine too! The owner should be proud of this team because I always saw the crew cleaning something! The front desk employee was very pleasant, too. Aa truck drivers who stay in hotels a lot, this one is acceptional, and we'd definitely stay here again. Side note- The owner may want to have ceiling tiles on hand to replace the damaged ones. Would make hallways more appealing. Pictures are front hallway intersection to rooms.

Just don't. We have been here less than an hour, and I already wish we hadn't booked here. We have a jaccuzi suite because we got to town late, but the room smells musty covered up by an odd perfume scent. There is a chair in here that is so gross I don't want to go near it, our toilet won't flush (not our fault) and when we told the front desk he asked us if we wanted a plunger he then couldn't find it. I don't see any bugs in the bed.. yet but the night is young. All of the furniture is chipped, the floors are sticky... and that's just in our room. The halls smell weird, nothing is very clean, ceiling tiles need to be replaced, can't eat breakfast in your room, outdoor pool only, etc. Just don't. I just want to go home. So much for a vacation. Update.. we also had connection issues with the TV, which took us to midnight before it was resolved. We asked for a discount or some form of compensation, and the lady at the desk smiled shook her head and flat out said no like she was mocking us. Then she handed us a piece of paper and said we could write our complaints down. I'm sure those went straight into the garbage. We are waiting to hear from corporate.
