This place is a great little sandwhich and grocery and they are always very nice. The only feedback I have is that it seems a regular was allowed to cut in front of me today. I happen to be temporarily handicapped in a cast using a knee scooter. It’s also my birthday. After I ordered my sandwhich and before I could order my coffee, the woman who seemed to recognize the owner just cut right in front of me taking advantage of the fact I am handicapped in a knee scooter and for that reason wasn’t all the way up close to the counter. This is our go to spot whenever we're at the Emeryville Amtrak station. The owner is so welcoming and friendly. He puts so much care into crafting the delicious sandwiches, fresh cut fruit, and salads. Our favorites include the BLT and the pastrami sandwich. They're packed with meat and veggies, he doesn't skimp. The veggies are so crisp and fresh. Get an instant ramen with it and he'll warm it up for you. This place does NOT open at 7am. Due to the rating and the location on my commute, I’ve been trying to come here for a week. The clerk has either not arrived yet, in the midst of setting up and is incredibly rude when asked if open, or like this last time. Just locked up shop with all the lights on, including the open sign and drove off for 15 min. They maybe more expensive, but I’d rather go around the corner to Ruby’s where they actually open when they say they will, and have excellent...
