Really bummed ...(you will see where there is low star rating it is because of the rip off pricing). I will first say that Aki sushi won me over with their fresh sushi to the point where they were (past tense) my go to sushi place. Today I called for pickup during lunch hour and ordered a lunch special and orange infused sake to go- the exact meal I had the week prior. When I arrived and the total was $12 more I thought perhaps they had the wrong order. I asked "this is the Sashimi combo lunch special right?" as it was 12:45 when I ordered. She said "oh you wanted the lunch one - I thought you wanted the dinner one" I asked why would you charge me the dinner price when it is lunch time? I was charged the dinner rate. I asked what the difference was besides price and could not get a straight answer. She said slightly irritated "no problem" and SAID she would ring me up for the lunch special. Because the total was initially $43 I also asked if this was the orange infused sake she said "yes-one size" which I knew was true because of the week prior. But I watched her fill the to go container with the standard hot sake (unflavored ) which I thought OK - maybe they put the flavor in later but that did not happen. She put the lid on. Mine you, she was filling the container as I was questioning her about the flavor. I still thought that perhaps they do have bulk orange infused sake. Unfortunately as I learned when tasting it when I got home, this was just the standard cheap hot sake. Then I went and looked at the menu price and saw she indeed STILL overcharged me for the combo meal band then also overcharged me for what was supposed to be the orange infused sake a dollar over. But the fact I got the cheap stuff actually was overcharged $4 for the sake alone. I had also asked for the menu when I was at Aki but she would NOT give me the menu. So they got more money from me this time but lost what would have been a regular customer as the food is pretty good. I am not cool with people intentionally stealing from me when I had been loyally supporting them and especially in a pandemic. You may be desperate and trying to make ends meet but because of one other incident I had there prior that didn't sit well (overcharge related also) I am done with Aki! I can attest that at least one person there is terribly dishonest and I will not go back again. It was the same lady both times. The first time I considered minor and a mistake but this time, she knew what she was doing because I confronted her and she STILL took more from me than what was the menu price....

My girlfriend and I got take out only to realize when eating at home I literally found a Metal Shaving inside my sushi roll that I pulled from my mouth. Customer service was absolutely terrible and at first they said they couldnāt give a refund and when I showed up with the spat out sushi roll and the metal shaving in my container- I got a really lame āsorryā and they showed the sushi maker the shaving- he grabbed it with his food glove and then pointed to this area behind the counter where everything was covered in Aluminum Foil? Seriously like 2 toaster ovens completely covered in foil. This was not an aluminum foil chunk- this was a legitimate metal shaving that held its structure and had curved waves in it. They only refunded me for the 1 Roll and didnāt even offer a legitimate apology. I spent over $40 here. You should have given me a proper apology and refunded my whole meal- that is the customary response to a messed up situation like this. Thatās almost as bad as finding a metal shard in your food or glass. So in turn I made a scene upon leaving bc you literally ruined by birthday dinner and Iām not coming back here. Your sushi doesnāt even taste fresh. Absolutely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow! Wow! Wow! This review is long overdue, we ordered takeout from Aki on New Years Eve, when they seemed to be very busy. We ordered online, then drove to pickup, other than standing in line behind some rude people, we got our food almost right away and left in a hurry, not checking our food before we hurried out of the store and back home, since the bags were big and full with all of the things that we ordered. Well, we were rewarded for our faith, everything was perfect, and just as we ordered it. Not only that, but it was obvious that great care was taken to pack us up. We ordered 4 hibachi meals with two meats each, each of which came with soup, salad, 2 sauces, rice, veggies and meats. We also got two sushi rolls. Everything was packed lovingly and even with cardboard layers to keep things from getting crushed or knocked over. And the best part?! The food was absolutely delicious, and everything hot was still hot and fresh! I cannot wait to go back! If their takeout on a busy night was that impressive I absolutely cannot wait to eat in the dining room, and to takeout again. Thanks for making our 2021 New Year special Aki! I look forward to...
