I am neurodivergent! I also have C-PTSD and agoraphobia.
Brewability is one of the few places i feel safe in. Words cannot convey how much this place means to me because C-PTSD and agoraphobia hold me back so much that it makes it difficult for me to even get groceries, but when I go to Brewability, it's a place I feel protected but also validated. I particularly love their stimming corner because it's so soothing when ,my anxiety gets the better of me.
I feel connected with the staff on a personal and spiritual level. We may have different conditions, but nobody can relate to me better than these people. I feel like I'm home here, and I can express myself how I feel without judgment. i've been going here since I first heard about them on CPR and at their old location. They are wonderful, the owner is wonderful. These people are my people.
And to quote one of my favorite movies: I LOVE EVERYONE...
Read moreHeard about this place on NPR. The owner, Tiffany, was doing an interview. So, of course, I HAD to stop in and see what it was all about. For starters, this place is TOTALLY family friendly. Toys, juice boxes, and chalk for the kids to scribble on the chalkboard topped tables. Second, ALL of the beer is Gluten Free! It took me a second to get used to the different flavor profiles of the beer, but once I did, everything was ok! Third, Tiffany has made it a point to make the place ADA accessible and even offers a menu in Braille, which is SUPER Cool! You'll need to order your beer by color, not style. And this place is all about love, and inclusion. Which I absolutely LOVED! So of you don't have anything nice to say while you're there, just keep your mouth shut. Or you could strike up a conversation with Tony, the brewtender. He's a pretty awesome...
Read moreI got a half and half of the green chili chicken and big mac pizza and it was amazing! The pizza itself was nothing special, but the recipes definitely were! That being said, for the name of the company, the drink selection is incredibly lacking. They have about 6 beer (or similar) options. The seasonal cider we wanted to try was out. So I went with the champagne seltzer with cranberry... out of cranberry. They had CapriSun also on the menu... out of CapriSun. They finally had a box of apple juice that I just mixed in, as champagne seltzer by itself has zero taste. On top of that, the beer was kind of flat. Had it not been for other friends already being there, I would have went elsewhere after the lack of drink selection. But I will definitely be back for the pizza! Hopefully the drink selections being out of stock was a...
