I’m local to Englewood and I’ve been here a total of 3 times. I’m not vegan but frequent vegan restaurants bc I have vegan friends and this is so close to home. I attempted it 3x. I’ve had amazing vegan food but this place is an utter disappointment with a fairly boring extremely expensive spicy AF menu that completely lacks any resemblance of true flavor. It’s just spicy cut with spicy grossness that completely destroys the food item altogether. I do not eat things that are spicy- your menu doesn’t specify what is spicy or not spicy- I will literally poop my brains out if I eat too much spicy food. If I wanted that much spice I’d go to an Indian restaurant. Last time I was here I ordered the burrito with sauce on the side $17 and dry AF inside and also SPICY I had 3 bites and threw it away when I got home. So I basically spent almost $70 on a disgusting dry spicy burrito and the Irish Spice bag (my gf likes spicy food and this was even too much for her) and literally comes in a paper bag without utensils with soggy fries and hot peppers that have no business being served in this neighborhood. The drink menu is pretty much all this place has going for it- the service was blatantly mediocre with staff that very much lacks in people skills. You ask them for their opinion on what’s on the menu and they give vague unrealistic answers. You sit at a table for two and are given the cold shoulder bc you’re only ordering drinks- well it’s Saturday night and this is the only restaurant on the block NOT packed. As a fellow queer person I just expect a different level of service. Your menu prices do not reflect this zip code- have you seen the houses around here? This isn’t downtown Denver and it’s frankly terribly overpriced for a spicy diarrhea experience. Like you’ve been open for this long and you’ve not put little flame icons next to the spicy AF entree items yet? This is by far the worst vegan experience I’ve ever had and I can tell you I’ve been to all the notable places and have spent a great deal of money and have driven far and wide to have great vegan food. Please hire servers that have personality and can at a minimum pretend they like to serve people in exchange for a living worthwhile tipping wage. Because I will tip appropriately and will tip below industry standard for terrible service and gross food. I would only go here for drinks in the future but probably unlikely now that I’ve attempted 3x to like this place. Notably though the woodworking interior is beautiful designed. But you can have the most beautiful designed space and serve well below the feel your...
Read moreI have been going to FT for over a year now, ever since moving to Englewood. I was super excited there was a vegan restaurant in my neighborhood and have gone many times with a friend who is vegetarian and with my partner, who primarily eats vegan. However, I just can't keep on going. The food is incredibly hit or miss, with more misses than hits. The service is lackluster at best, as almost all staff are incredibly aloof and make up difficult rules (for example, twice now I've been told a certain option for food flavors is only available during HH, even once after being given those options by another server just moments earlier), and the food is almost all fried and yet still not tasty. Last night was really the night that made me never want to come back outside of grabbing a drink, though. In particular, I ordered a dish that was supposed to be pineapple fried rice and instead came out almost like rice porridge doused in burnt sesame oil. I literally couldn't eat it. My friends and partner with me - who have collectively known me for close to two decades - commented that in all that time, they had never once seen me not eat my meal or return a dish to the kitchen. Meanwhile, two waiters saw I was not eating the dish, and one even came back to ask if we wanted anything more to eat, at which time I asked if I could have a dessert menu while commenting that I couldn't eat the other dish and really did not like it. He immediately got me the dessert menu but acted like he didn't hear anything else I said. There was not a single question about the dish, why I wasn't eating it, nothing. If they had asked, I would have told them that I can't eat mushy rice doused in burnt sesame oil, but since no questions came, I just left it. After close to an hour and the dish getting cold, my partner ate a few bites, as he can't stand wasting food. Yet, even he couldn't handle it and eventually put a plate on top of it because it was so bad. And yet, when all was said and done, my bill was over $30 for that dish, a (small) side of fries, and a $5 beer, before tip. Like I said, this isn't my first issue with bad food and service at FT, but this really put me over the edge. What am I paying for if I don't even get the courtesy of someone asking why I find a dish entirely inedible, and still being charged for it? I'm not the person who is going to make a scene and send something back to the kitchen, nor should I need to be to get basic service. Outside of going back on rare occasions because my best friend likes the cocktails, I have no...
Read more11/11 ish:Hmmmm Consistency is not 100%. I was expecting some perfect wings as usual.. And I ordered them when I was about five minutes away... Unfortunately, when I arove it looked like the wings were already sitting there for a minute, and they looked really light in color... They definitely tasted slightly underdone. I'm so sad because this is what happened to watercourse foods... The problem with them was consistency. There's a reason there are exact fry times! And going a couple of seconds over is always better to under. I got a very oily floury bunch of cauliflower wings that were not bite-sized. They weren't cooked through bc of that. This saddened to me greatly. Because I came the night before. And they were PERFECT, and the reason I was back again was because of a clear cauliflower addiction... I have honestly decided that I'm going to get a little mini air fryer for when i'm on the road.... No one does it like me!!
First review: They absolutely have earned the BEST VEGAN RESTAURANT rating I saw on the wall. My first order was simple, I ordered the cauliflower appetizer and a side of fries. The cauliflower was perfect, but I needed a refire on my fries because of the salt level(personal preference), and they helped me out quickly, thanks! The Cauliflower had thus beautiful tangy flavor that paired beautifully with dips of ranch. I loved the added spring onion on this dish as well. The fries were fresh and crispy, and the cut on them allowed the perfect crunchy outside, and still a soft middle. Everything looked pretty, too. The secret shining star of the meal, however, was the most incredible homemade ranch dip. They have finely chopped fresh dill and chive in thier ranch and it is to die for. Omg I could buy large quantities and bathe in it. The dill and chive really come through and add herbaceousness to whatever you dip it in. For so long, I was disappointed with the vegan options in Denver. Thanks for being here, Fellow Traveler! You've earned a new customer! Fellow Traveler is a new favorite, for sure! 10/10 recommend, can't...
