Restaurant Review: El Camino, Emunclaw
Nestled in the heart of Emunclaw, El Camino is a charming Mexican restaurant that captures the essence of authentic cuisine while providing a cozy atmosphere. From the moment you step through the colorful door adorned with traditional Mexican art, you’re greeted by the warm smiles of the staff who make you feel right at home.
The décor is a delightful blend of rustic charm and vibrant colors, with hand-painted tiles and festive decorations that transport you straight to Mexico. The ambiance is intimate, making it a perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a casual meal with friends and family.
The menu at El Camino is a celebration of Mexican flavors, featuring a variety of classic dishes that cater to both traditionalists and those looking for something a bit different. The tacos are a must-try, with options ranging from succulent carne asada to flavorful grilled vegetables, all served with fresh salsa and homemade tortillas that are simply divine. The enchiladas, smothered in rich mole sauce, are another standout, bursting with flavor and topped with a generous sprinkle of cheese.
For those seeking lighter options, the ceviche is refreshing and zesty, featuring fresh fish marinated in lime juice and mixed with diced tomatoes and avocado. Pair your meal with a refreshing margarita or a local craft beer from their well-curated drink menu.
Service at El Camino is attentive without being intrusive. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and eager to recommend their favorites, which adds a personal touch to the dining experience.
Dessert is not to be missed, especially the tres leches cake, which is light and soaked to perfection, offering a sweet ending to a delightful meal.
Overall, El Camino is a gem in Emunclaw that promises not only a delicious meal but also a cultural experience that leaves you feeling satisfied and eager to return. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to add El Camino to your list of must-visit restaurants. You won’t be...
Read moreI DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE WITH DIETARY RESTRICTIONS
Giving 1 star because their chips and salsa was good.
I came here with a group after a hike yesterday evening, they were serving food really slow - I'd requested for a vegetarian burrito without sour cream and cheese since I'm vegan. About a half hour later they brought a meat burrito and when I asked them what the meat pieces were (I've never had meat so the texture of it just looked strange to me), the waitress initially casually responded that it was what I had ordered and when I insisted further, she went to the kitchen and a couple of minutes later she came back with some other dish (not a burrito) with sour cream on it. When I asked her what was wrong with the first dish was when she said that was meat and said it was the kitchen's fault. I told her that I'd requested for food without sour cream and cheese, she said that she would fix the order and get back - I think if a restaurant messes up an order twice, a customer wouldn't really be interested in eating any further.
I feel bad about the food wasted and of course it was against my values so I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone with a dietary restriction or any kind of allergies - had the restaurant made a mistake once, I would've still dismissed it as a one time thing but since they repeated it and were casual about it, I don't think I could give them a...
Read moreLet's start by dismissing all the misleading reviews of "Authentic Mexican food" its not, its Texmex style cuisine. Staff was on point. The server was attentive and brought all our food with no mistakes. We had Carne asada, Chile Verde, seafood enchiladas, Spicy shrimp and Asada burrito. All our food was delicious. These new owners are doing a great job with the presentation and flavor of the food!! Keep it up guys your doing great! No music though? Idk if it was turned off or they just don't have it. Beer Tap system was not working or they didn't have any beers on tap, this is a HUGE revenue source they are missing out on. Remember El Camino, you make more from selling beers on tap then bottle... The place is clean 👌 we enjoyed our visit and will be supporting...
