Skip the Mint and eat elsewhere. Completely shocked, and embarrassed how we where treated by staff! As a local we have ate here prior many times before, but not after last night. We had a party of 8 4 adults and 4 kiddos, which was not a problem since the place wasn't busy. Awesome, right? ...wrong! Staff must really not like there job here. Apparently asking for waters and straws, silverware, and 3 burgers cooked the way you want is out of the question here. Ordered drinks first and requested water as well. First eye roll from our waitress Anna. Drinks came then waters with a straw shoved in my glass after she set my water down. Waitress 2nd eye roll as she walked away. 😳 Appetizers arrived. Asked the waitress for silverware and napkins. 3rd eye rolled. Continued to ignoring the eye rolls from waitress , as we continue to catching up with our friends. When it was time to order our meals 3 out of 4 adults orders hamburgers. And I ordered a Gyro. Girlfriend asked for a well done hamburger, her husband asked for medium well done, and my husband asked questions to the waitress how to order his if he wanted no pink how should he order his burger. 4th eye roll completely in our face this time. 😳 still we continue to ignore how we where being treated, and wanted to have a wonderful time and wanted our friends to enjoy enumclaw as much as we do. Meals come in a timely manner, wonderful.. not so much! 1 out of 3 burgers came the way they requested. Girlfriends came with blood on her plate as she cut into it. This was supposed to be the well done? My friend took her hamburger off her plate and set it on a appetizer plate. When the waitress came back we address the issue with her. Her first response "who's hamburger is this?" As she inspected the hamburger. Wow not the response I'd expect from any staff at a restaurant. My husband had to stop as she acted like there was nothing wrong with the bloody hamburger, to show her his was not cooked as he had requested either. Waitress response "what do you want be to do? Cook it more?" Okay we all know you don't send food back when you are not being treated well and as if you are a Inconvenience to staff and not expect anything weird be done to your food. So girlfriend simply said no thank you. 5th eye roll. Her hamburger was placed by the waitress in the out going order window, where the waitress staff gathered and poked at the burger, and talked about it. They pointed at our table as they talked and glared over at us. At this point I was completely shocked and embarrassed the way we where being treated in a town we live in and always talk so highly to our friends. Not the hospitality we where wanting to show our friends Enumclaw has to offer. Towards the end of the meal I had got up and walked to the bathroom on my way back I asked the waitress for her name. I later found out the hostess gave me nasty looks the whole time I walked to the restroom by which I myself didn't see but my husband and girlfriend had. She slammed the glass down that held the bill. Again not the hospitality I wanted to show our friends Enumclaw has to offer. When we read the bill the waitress had adjust the bill to show all hamburgers where ordered as medium well?! Why? To cover herself since I had asked Anna her name? We had requested to speak to a manager and of course one was not there. But they did offer to call them. Girlfriends husband spoke to on the phone while we gathered the kids and walk to our vehicles. What a embarrassing horrible sad experience to show our friends what Enumclaw...
Read moreIm from around Enumclaw and have lived in the area my entire life. Have been to this restaurant many many times! This used to be our favorite place. The last few times we have been were terrible. We went last Friday as a family of 4 and is was disappointing to say the least. We sat near where the food gets set out when it's ready for the servers. Our food sat under the lamp for 20 min, it was cold when we got it. Not to mention we got served about 10-20 min apart. Our 4 plates were all there the entire time. Never got to eat as a family of four! I have worked customer service and understand when it can be busy or when orders are given in a few trips back to back; but when families go out to eat they typically like to eat as one. The worst part was that my husband and I got served first and our young kids sat and waited for their kids meal for 20min. The food was not how we remembered at all! No flavor, very basic and blan. Not sure of the owner changed or if there are new cooks; but it was bad. We never complained because the waitress was very sweet; but also not great. We thought maybe it was her first day and wanted to give her the chance. It was all extremely disappointing...
Some recommendation id give to this restaurant for the future.... Please bring food out at the same time, or make another quick back to back trip if it's not doable. Please do not wait 20 minutes to serve to the rest of a small party. We do not mind waiting as long as we are served at about the same time. Please do not serve adults first over kids. Kid need to come first! Please do not sit and talk with co-workers when there's food under the heat lamp waiting to bee served. Especially when the entire party's food has been sitting there all at the same time...
Read moreEdit: you’d think I’d learn my lesson. But apparently not. A $13 green tea shot? I guess so. So maybe pass on to Rainers where I have yet to have a bad experience at. You fault raising costs? Inflation? Fine, I’ll choose Hops and Drops, Rainers, Jackson’s, Cascades, Stacks, anything over you. You just lost more than a customer, but a family and all their friends. Bar tender and manager hopefully you learn how to speak to your guests. Servers, you’re great, but you’re not enough to keep our business.
Started off with the Night Troll Porter and my daughter got the Old Rasputin. The Porter is nice and smooth. And while good, the Rasputin is a little too hoppy for my taste. The brussel sprouts were spicy and delicious and the zucchini chips were tasty especially with the dip. Went to do the Bacon Jam Burger, but there’s onions in the heavenly smelling jam, so settled on the good old bacon burger. My daughter had the Mushroom Burger and added the jam, she said that’s the way to eat it! The burgers were cooked perfectly (medium rare) and mine was delish! The servers are great and any one that may have walked by checked on us! The Mint has a quaint rustic pub decor and a very hometown feeling. Food is great, service was wonderful, beers were new to me - I’ll definitely be back! Capped the evening off with the Speedway Stout - very good dark beer!
Edit: Took my mom and niece here on New Years Eve ordered the bacon burger, got it without bacon and still charged full price. Service was not so good this time and I never got a chance to correct it. Just decided to pay and leave....
