The Rainier Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Enumclaw

We came in for the first time tonight around 6pm.  There were only 2 seats open at the bar top so we took them.  Not knowing we were going to roast in those window seats.  We were given two different menus. When ordering my husband was told what he wanted was on the lunch menu that they had given us so he could not order that. Our food was served but I really couldn't enjoy it since we were literally cooking in the window. I moved the window shade down a bit myself to try to help us out. My husband ordered another drink but was forgotten. The bartender did remember after checking how we liked the food. I was never asked if I'd like another drink. When the bartender came with our check I told her how hot we were and said I'd pulled the blind down a little to which she responded that they've been trying to get the owner to pull the shade or remove the two bar stools. So they were aware of how hot these seats get. I've never been more uncomfortable in an business. I hardly ate my food as all I could think or talk about wa how hot I was. Apparently instead of telling the bartender how hot it was I should have been asking for a box becuase my full plate of food had dirty dishes on top of it before she'd asking if I'd like to take it.  Based on our experience tonight we won't...

The place was very busy when my group arrived for dinner on 8/23/25, but there was availability with the two outdoor tables. Silvia was our waitress and she was very pleasant, upbeat and friendly. The drink orders were handled right away. There was a long delay after ordering our food. However, Silvia was conscious of the long wait time and updated us on the situation of the delay from the kitchen along with an apology. She also made the manager aware of the situation. The manager personally apologized and explained the reason for the delay as well. The manager,( I believe his name is Brain, I apologize if that is not correct) was also friendly and accommodating. Our order at that point was expedited. The place was busy with good energy and atmosphere. The food was very good and the staff is top notch. The manger applied a discount without us having to ask. Things in life go awry at times such as our food order, however, Silvia and the manager made it right on their own accord. Our first time here and the food is fabulous. Had the mussels and clam chowder, other party had the salmon. All of it was delicious and the service was tops!!! 🤗 Definitely going back again. We went back again 4 months later and again the food was excellent, the drinks were excellent and the service is top notch!! This is definitely our new go to place!! Love the atmosphere! Someone else sat down 10 mins after us and got explained the specials and their order taken. No one showed up to take our order. So after another 10 min we paid our single drink bill and went to the El Camino and a great time!! The Rainier wasn't even busy at this time.
