Maria's New York Pizzeria — Restaurant in Ephrata

They continue to prove themselves as my favorite pizza place in Ephrata, possibly all of Lancaster. They have what so many other pizza places lack... flavor and that little extra "something". From the regular pizza to their specialty stuffed pizzas, cheesesteaks, other sandwiches... they excel at it all. Truly is probably the closest thing to a good NY pizzeria in our area.

Most other pizza shops, while they aren't necessarily bad, just seem to cheap out. Example: you go to another typical pizza place and order a cheesesteak and you get a roll with plain chopped steak inside which has some bland sauce drizzled on top and then cheese on top of that. At Chris's, they cook the sauce and onions and cheese into the meat so you get all the flavors in every bite, not just toppings for half of the sandwich. Their sauce is also fantasticas well, very rich flavor.

The staff is always very friendly and I am always greeted by at least one if not a few people behind the counter. I highly recommend them if you are in the area, or even if you are...

I just ate here for the first time. They were very busy and I had to wait around for 10-15 minutes. The person working register was very apologetic and gave us a free drink and garlic knots which was very nice. After tasting the food I completely understand why they were so busy. The pizza is fantastic and stands out above other similar restaurant in the area. I also had their stuffed shells which were even better. I am picky with stuffed shells being used to our own home recipe, but these were very very good.
