Donut star — Restaurant in Escondido

I've been going to this breakfast place regularly since I started cosmetology school, and I really enjoy the service and the food. There's a young girl who works there in the mornings, and while she's generally friendly, I had an uncomfortable experience when I went with my boyfriend. She seemed to be staring at him and looked at me in a really disrespectful way. My boyfriend even mentioned how uncomfortable it made him feel.

I believe that kind of behavior reflects poorly on customer service and is unprofessional. On a positive note, the manager is really nice, but unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable returning due to that encounter. I have eaten a solid amount of donuts in my lifetime. All shapes and sizes, flavors and fillings. But nothing compares to Donut Stars freshly baked donuts and/or croissants. Best donuts I have EVER had. Hands down. Incredible. Melt in your mouth delicious. better than petersons just wish they stayed open 24/7...I'd be absolutely 100% overweight but it would be so worth it. Chocolate and cream cheese croissants, chocolate creme filled donut, maple bars are my go to choices. The ladies refer to me as chocolate croissant and honestly I'm okay with it lol they are both funny and go out of their way to hook it up for their regulars.

The chocolate round donut is actually the best I've ever had in my life to be honest.I highly recommend this spot for donuts & definitely beats Randy's and Petersons anyday.The only gripe I have is it would be perfect if there was a little more shade by the windows especially for this summer time it's hot right now but they do got air condition which is a plus so I give this place 4.8...
