Kotija Taco Shop — Restaurant in Escondido

If I had the option I would give 0 stars. 09/04/2020 I called 20 mins before closing to order for pick up, a lady told me she wouldn’t take orders through the phone & I asked that if I were to come in, if they would still take my order, she said yes. Which made no sense to me . So I got there at 9:48pm and a young man told me they were closed, he was waving his hands that they were closed and was starting to close the shop right then. I asked if they stopped taking orders 12 mins before closing & that the lady told me to go in person to place my order. The guy was literally just staring at me and not saying anything back. Anyways I just wasted my time heading to the restaurant after the lady told me I’d be able to place it in person. If they stop taking orders at 9:40 pm, they should change their hours . Bad...

I did a phone order so that way it could be fast went to pay the girl took my payment but never gaved me my food it took her 30 minutes after until I told her why was people leaving if I did a phone order she said well you never told me what you order and I was like well if you took my payment you know what I had order after I asked her if I can get sauce and with a bad attitude she did, I asked her to sell me some carrots and she said she did not had any after I saw some and the fridge so according to her I had to eat my whole food cold really bad customer service with the lady working today 2-16-2024 can’t compare her with the other girl who is usually their she has a great customer service and always on point...

Kotija has a long and rich history in Escondido sure it's a taco shop but nevertheless it shines were it counts and buy that I mean the food. Yes you could probably go to casa de Vega nada wait to be seated or the Jilbertos next to Vayarta and catch two cholos fighting in the parking lot but why if what you want is food then Kotija has you covered sure it's not the best location but there's plenty of parking, I know it doesn't have wifi but you can Google the phone order and GTFO like it ain't no thang and yes they will speak to you in English when they answer. So what do you have to lose? Get you some roll...
