Nice Food Restaurant — Restaurant in Escondido

Really good "American-style" Chinese buffet food of this type. Food is fresh, servings are huge, the people are very nice and the prices are competitive and reasonable for today's standards. That's saying a lot considering how expensive eating out is these days. I especially like their spicy fish fillets. I haven't seen them at other restaurants of this type. I only wish they were gluten-free, but you can't have everything and fortunately, I can cheat with that a bit now and then. They do have more than one gluten free option (at least from breading; I don't know about flours in the gravies) which is really nice. I also really like their pork. It's not breaded or super sweet, but it has a very nice flavor. My brother ordered the Mongolian beef off the menu and it was good and fairly priced as well. I definitely recommend this restaurant. We always get the 3-entree serving because it's clearly the best value. Singles will easily have leftovers and families can share, making it delicious...

I could go on and on about how much I love Nice Food but I’ll try to keep it short and simple. Good quality food (that I prefer over any other fast Chinese place that I’ve been to) and great portions. They really spoil you with their portions. And you’ll love every bit of them. Price is good as well. When I think of a true bang for your buck deal, I think of this place. Great tasting, good portioned, good priced food served by fast and friendly staff. I really have no complaints about this place. I will say, it’s great for takeout, but if you’re looking for an outstanding dining experience, you’re looking at the wrong place. Good food, fair price, large portions and lots of variety. They make sure to fill up your plate. I had left overs.

I ordered a plate with chow mein, fried rice, barbecue pork and spicy shrimp. The chow mein had good flavor and texture. The rice was a bit overcooked but had great flavor. The barbecue pork was tender and flavorful. The shrimp were juicy and definitely packed a spicy kick. I enjoyed both my entrees very much. I added some of their chili oil sauce, and it added flavor as well as spiciness. I recommend the chili oil if you like your food spicy.
