It was OK. I suppose on par with just about any other fast food burger place. I think I may have expected a bit more just cuz of the nearly 5 star reviews I saw and it looked kinda fancy inside but any way. Here goes my review. Loaded you up with proper before and after pics. I was 2 ND in line and ordering went quick. The customer service seemed to be about the bare minimum. Polite and helpful but not chatty and no smile, food arrived within 4 min, I ordered a traditional crispy chxn sandwich with frys and soda. I did ask for ranch of which she did bring over a couple in a tiny paper sauce cup. At first glance the sandwich looked very appealing I was alittle turned off when I saw the color of the cheese but it actually tasted fine. The frys were just the right amount of crispy to soft ratio, soda was good. Tables, floors and bathroom was clean. Wasn't to busy. They were playing rap on the speakers. My experience was just ok. May have just been me but seemed like just another ordinary fast food experience. So maybe just don't have to high of expectations and you won't be let down. So 5 stars anyway. All the important boxes got checked off. Thanks. Hope...
Read moreNever understood why Fatburger didn't catch on in San Diego. The one in Pacific Beach was fine, and would seem to have been in a prime location; maybe poor management (the place was a bit seedy, like many beach joints). But, happily, Fatburger lives on in Escondido. The deal is the meat, old-fashioned, juicy, rough around the edges, and the fresh stuff on it. You just have to be a fan of old Foster's Freeze-type burgers, but higher quality. They really do it right.
I have been eating at Fatburger since they opened their second shop in LA (converted the old Gingham Dog and Calico Cat on La Cienega at San Vicente), and its founder was one smart woman. She managed to build a franchise that remains at the highest quality long after its humble beginnings. Too hip for San Diego, I guess...
Worth the sidetrack into deepest Escondido, if you get hungry before your first gas stop on the way North...puts the Shack, the Smash, and even the Guys in the also-rans. The Urge? Forget about it. Like...
Read moreI typically don't do this but I gotta say worst customer service. Lady at the cashier register had the worst facial expression, I wish I would have asked for her name, she was in no way polite, and made it seem as is she was annoyed of being there. I had a big order and she rushed me thru every single one of them. The frustrating part was when I asked for hotsauce/ spices and she claimed that they didn't offer any of that but yet some hamburgers have jalapeños. After multiple times of me asking for some she reached out and gave me 2 yellow peppers for my 6 burgers, I asked for more and she claimed to be too busy to help me and tossed the yellow peppers back in the trwy . First and last time I shop at...
