My husband and I went to the new 5th st location last night and when I say the food was DIVINE…!!! We got two orders of the xiao long bao (one each), my spouse got the Sichuan spicy noodles soup, and I got the pork wontons in chicken broth (no pics, unfortunately - as a millennial I was shamed so much for food pics I never take them 🤣). The XLB was…indescribable. The last time I had XLB that good was in Chinatown in NYC. The meat melts in your mouth, the flavors are explosive but not too rich, super fresh, and the dumpling skin itself is so thin and perfect. Words can’t even give it justice. It was the kind of food that makes you stop everything when you bite into it and close your eyes to savor. The wontons in chicken broth were also amazing. The broth itself was a little flavorless, but as soon as you bit into the wonton it more than made up for it. Silky dumplings, amazing pop of flavor. My spouse’s Sichuan spicy noodles soup was also amazing, handmade noodles, spicy and absolutely packed with flavor but not overpowering or too rich in any way (he’s very sensitive to rich foods, and usually can’t eat too much of spicy soups because they’re so rich, but he would’ve eaten the whole bowl if we weren’t stuffed). All in all, I give it a ten out of ten. I would eat there every week if I could. I pray the quality stays as good as last night because if so I would wholeheartedly say it’s the best...

I came here on a whim one day because I was in the middle for some noodles. To say this is one of my favorite places to eat is an understatement.
First, let’s start with the service. I’ve only ever had one server and I’ve only ever seen one server. You’d probably think “how can you have fast and efficient service with only one server”? Because this man is good at what he does. That’s how. He is always very welcoming and very attentive. Our drinks are always full and he is always smiling!
Second, if you see people behind the counter looking like they are taking their anger out on something, it’s your food. And it’s not anger it’s love and you CAN taste it when you eat here. It’s all made fresh and if beating up my noodles is what makes it taste so good then BEAT AWAY!
Third, the food 🤤
My recommendations: use the sauces on the table & make your own little potion. They offer chili oil, vinegar, and soy sauce & in the right proportions they make a DELICIOUS sauce that I feel makes such a wonderful addition to the scallion pancakes, any of the dumplings, or whatever else you want to sauce up!
The beef noodle soup and the Kung Pao Chicken have a special place in my foodie heart because it doesn’t matter how full I am I still want to eat them.
So if you’re an emotional eater such as myself I suggest giving this place a try. Your heart, tummy, & soul will...
Read moreOn our trip to Seattle and we stay one night in Eugene. Happened to find this place and gave it a try without any expectations. We arrived around 7pm and had to wait for 20 minutes. We were surprised how many non-Chinese eating here. My first thought is that the Chinese food here is NOT for Chinese. However, the food turned out surprisingly great and authentic to our taste! Xiao long BAO is specifically juicy and pork meat is sweat. The skin is thin but strong enough to hold the delicious soup inside. The shrimp Xiao mei is easy to score high point due to its Cantonese style ( As a Asian Californian, I grew up with dim sum). Others like stewed beef noodle soup, Fried rice, and chili chicken are also great! For our 8 member group, we finished all 12 dishes without any leftovers. We had such good time eating authentic Chinese style here and feeling that we have never left California at all. We highly recommend this place and definitely we will come again...
