If you'd like your sandwich piled high with extra charges and slathered with condescension, then this IS the place for you! 🙃 I've eaten here 2 times, once the order via the drive through was slightly incorrect, no big deal. Another time the soup was lukewarm at best, so I microwaved it at home. This visit I chose to go inside the store, so I could have the time to review the new menu options and watch my sandwich being made while I drooled; Alas, I left empty handed.
The woman at the counter was not particularly friendly about answering questions from the start, not rude, just seemed annoyed (Do you still have a daily special, asking if salami can be subbed for pepperoni, and the charges for extra proteins and cheeses). I used to work for Subway 18yrs ago and I favor a very specific sandwich, that I've never had a problem getting replicated until today. She couldn't sub the protein of a newly listed sandwich, no big deal, I'll build the sandwich from scratch. I ordered a meatball sub and ADDED fresh mozzarella which is $2+ for a footlong, and she then asked me if I wanted it heated/ toasted, and which point I asked her to please add provolone before toasting, at which point she tells me there will be an "upcharge" and I asked why? I pointed out that a meatball sandwich comes with a cheese choice, so I would like my cheese choice to be provolone and I'm willing to pay for the ADDITIONAL fresh mozzarella. She argued that I had "upgraded" my single cheese choice to the fresh mozzarella (with the additional $2 charge) and that if I wanted to ADD another cheese then she "Absolutely will charge me for the extra cheese." (But she did offer to let me try the new veggie patty for free...) I again tried to point out that I am willing to pay for the extra cheese, but I would also like my cheese choice that is included in the original price of the sandwich. She then told me "We can do this all day, but cheese is extra. " The other employee standing there said nothing. I pointed at the menu of extra charges and asked her where the "Upgrade" price of cheese is, because the menu lists them as "Additions" and "Extras"; "I don't want to do this all day, I want to know how much this sandwich is going to cost me??? We're talking $4 just in 'extra' cheese!" At which point the lady grouchily says "Its JUST cheese!" And starts slamming provolone slices across the bread and demanding to know if I want it heated or toasted, while grumbling under her breath.
No, thank you. You may keep the sandwich because my stomach has turned and I'm not paying $14+ for a sandwich that I am no longer going to enjoy and eat with resentment. I told her "Sorry for the waste. I hope you have a nice evening." And walked away. The employee also wished me a good evening and then started shrieking about "Can you believe that...? Did you just see that...? Can you believe her!?!?! As I walked out the door.
There are exactly 2 fast food options in town, choose the other option to save yourself some time, frustration, and definitely money. I drove straight there and fed two of us for the same price the single sandwich...
Read moreHad to give the Eureka Springs location 5 stars in regards to the amazing service I received yesterday 5/16/22. The kids serving me was extremely helpful, educated, polite and genuinely wanted me to enjoy my meal and have a great experience. It is so hard these days to find respectful young adults or teens and this young man was definitely respectful and a true southern gentleman. Props to his mama for raising him right! He really made my whole lunch break pleasant. I went back to work afterwards bragging on how good this service was. I've lived here my entire life and while we haven't had a Subway restaurant all these years, I can say that the service from this Subway has never been as good as what ai just experienced. I highly recommend the Eureka location. It was clean and welcoming. It was fast service and did not have any wait time hardly. He expressed he was a new employee which shocked me due to the amount of knowledge and professionalism. I believe his name was Alex. If you want a great meal made by the coolest and most attentive server, hit up Subway and...
Read moreI will NEVER step foot back into this establishment!!! Waited 5 min at counter, no one showed up, so I went over to side where they could see me. Girl came out and said she was by herself. Okay np. I stated I wanted wheat bread. They were out. OK. No biggie. I'll take white. Then I tell her type of sandwich. She still standing there looking at me like I have 2 heads. And asks what bread again. My husband calmly says, she said white. Girl then informs me that she doesn't serve rude customers. Like what the crap!! Then proceeds to take off her gloves and disappeared to back. I have NEVER DEALT WITH SUCH RUDENESS! We travel frequently and usually stop at a subway along the way. This one will now be taken off our list. So freaking sorry. On top of that I was not feeling good bc we had been traveling and I needed to eat. So we went to the Horseshoe Cafe, where they appreciate our business and care about customers. This was at 2:20 on...
