First off I will say that our waiter was very nice, can't remember his name, but he was nice and when he finally came to the table he was very attentive to our needs and requests. The service speed however was very crappy. It took us just a couple minutes to be seated (the restaurant was not busy at all) but it took about 15-20 minutes before the waiter came and offered to take our drink order. By time we got our drinks, we were ready to go ahead and order our food. I ordered the steak medium rare and it came out still moo'ing far more than I wanted. It would have identified as "rare" the way it came out. I sent it back asking them to cook it a little longer. they did, but it took them about 15 minutes to get it back out to me...but it was much better so whatever. Another lady sent her food back too because of the same issue but she never got her food back. the mashed potatoes were slightly warm, not hot. mac & cheese was horrible (plain noodles with a little bit of cheese sprinkled on top with maybe 3 bacon crumbles), the spinach dip wasn't even crusty on top like it was supposed to be, when we asked for steak sauce we received an empty bottle, the host/hostess looks barely legal to be able to work, instead of people waiting tables they were sitting in the corner in the waiting area on their phones. I don't give it much longer and this location, among a few others in the area will probably be closed down because this is very crappy service. This isn't the first location we have had an issue with in the CSRA, it seems all the applebees have gone to garbage. Won't eat here again. We had the option between Applebees and another steakhouse but we chose applebees thinking maybe the service in this area would be better since it's a more upscale neighborhood, i wish we'd gone with the...
Read moreI would encourage ALL to stay far away from this location! DONT APPLY HERE EITHER!
I had an interview scheduled for today at 3:10pm. I drove 3 HOURS to be here on time, yet Denise (I'm assuming is the manager) only asked me one question and I answered it. However, when I mentioned that my husband and I would not be moving back home until early next year (January/February is when my husband ETS from the Army), she basically questioned why I applied then, so I explained to her it would be so that I'll be employed when we move back. She suggested for me to just try again when I move back. Evidently, she is too incompetent to understand that I am not wanting to spend 3 months trying to find a job.
*This section is to Denise (the hiring manager): I am very disappointed in your interview approach provided, considering that I drove 3 hours to be told I'm useless as a candidate when its you that is a poor excuse for management, and YOU WASTED MY TIME, NOT VICE VERSA. I will DEFINITELY NOT APPLY to your location again (AS YOU REQUESTED). No wonder you need a server cause they don't want to be under your horrid management! Everyone deserves better working conditions and I'm glad that I didn't get stuck underneath yours (praying for the souls that work there). Your hostess was the ONLY polite one in this experience! This was the worst interview I've ever endured and I pray it'll take forever for you to find someone cause today you lost an exceptional opportunity for a hard working potential employee all because of your rude demeanor and moronic personality! A little advice that hopefully you can comprehend: STOP USING A ROBOT TO ACCEPT APPLICATIONS - QUIT BEING LAZY, LIKE YOU CLEARLY ARE, AND DO IT...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I walked into Applebee's and requested outdoor seating. The hostess kindly checked to make sure there was an available table, and there was. He walked us out and told us our server would be with us shortly. There was a huge party also sitting outside. As soon as I got to the table, I went to the restroom. When I came back, the waitress still hadn't came to our table. Then my boyfriend went to the restroom. While he was gone, a female waitress came out and tended to the large party. I was never addressed. I figured she wasn't our server so I sat browsing the menu. My boyfriend returned and still no server came to our table. We gave it 3 more minutes and noone came to greet us. We were only given menus and silverware so we got up and left. I was very disappointed in this experience as I love Applebee's. I will continue going to Augusta. This happened around 9 on September 20, 2020.
Update: We decided to give them another try so we went back this past Sunday. Again, we sat outside for (I timed it) 7 minutes and no server came to greet us. My boyfriend went inside where he saw most of the staff hanging around talking at the hostess stand. He came back and a girl came saying that the host who sat us didn’t know the outdoor server hadn’t arrived yet (What in the world), so she apologized and said she’d be helping us. While she was very nice, she often forgot things we asked for so idk if she’s not an actual server or what but unfortunately this was strike two and they won’t get a chance to earn their third. The food was good so I added another star for that! Spinach dip was a little soupy and the green beans needed a...
