I really want to give this review 5 stars all around. Really. however, I just can't. I can for the service though! The young lady was training someone new and still gave amazing service to my mother and myself. so for her alone 5 stars.
Now lets get into the disappointments. First off, I didn't want to come here to begin with as it was too cold for a smoothie. I had just moved here from a major city and wasn't really sure what was around anyway. My mom wanted to come here though. When we entered, I wasn't expecting an actual food menu.
I read it through and decided on the Thai Salad. and the Kiwi, Strawberry, Yogurt smoothie. (I forgot the actual name of it). Once we got our order we sat down at one of the tables and I drank my smoothie while my mother ate her food. I did not mine because I was not hungry at the time.
The smoothie was alright. I have noticed it was better than most of the other smoothies I have had in the crap area. So kudos to that. The salad however was not that great. it was merely okay though I am pretty sure that is what put me on the toilet for over an hour a couple of hours after...
Read moreThis was my first experience here at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. So excited to try the food. My husband and I went to the register and were not acknowledged. Once we were able to get some service and we placed our order it took 20 minutes and then we finally got our quesadilla and then after we received that 10 minutes later we still didn't have our smoothies and we asked for our smoothies while three employees stood there and talks amongst each other doing nothing. One even said something about not wanting to make them because he only had 6 minutes to his shift left. Another tipped over another customers smoothy while handing to customer whiteout even whiping the smoothy mess off the cup first. This group just seems very imature and unaware of their expectations to the company and it's customers. They need a manager in there and if one of those kids were the manager I would suggest some training. if I was rating on food I would definitely write a five because it was delicious for that they did great. Read moreSo I started to go to this location Monday - Friday 3 years ago and have (sad to admit) spent over $4,000 on their smoothies and food. I have been an excellent and loyal customer. This morning it was raining and I didn't wear my shoes in. That was my fault. What I didn't appreciate was both men standing at the counter by the door staring at me and saying Ma'am, you have to have shoes on. They were pretty rude about it. Ok, no problem. I was wrong to go without shoes. I stood on the entry rug and asked if I could stay right there and give them my card to pay for it. Neither man said a word to me but they did make my smoothie. Even though I had my card out to pay, they didn't charge me but instead told me don't do it again in a rude tone of voice. I'm not a child and they could have been a little bit kinder about it. I told him no problem because I've spent too much money there and won't be back again.
