Unbelievegan — Restaurant in Fairburn

I finally got to visit Unbelievegan in Fairburn, GA on Saturday. I learned about this restaurant on TikTok and couldn’t wait to pay them a visit. One thing that attracted me to Unbelievegan is the owner’s commitment to using no seed oils. Not to important to some, but important to me.

I met the owner when I walked in, and he could not have been nicer. A lot of restaurants act like they are doing you a favor when you dine with them. This gentleman was truly grateful that I was there. There were SO many great dishes that I have seen on social media, and he patiently walked me through some favorites of others. I opted for the “Fysh Sandwich,” which is made with oyster mushrooms. For my side I ordered the Mac N Cheese and collard greens. Everything was a 10/10! The portion size was great, and I finished it all! Everything was well-seasoned, and as the owner said, it was food that didn’t leave me with a heavy, stuffed feeling.

The decor was very nice, and the cleanliness was impeccable. They had lively music playing, along with TV’s playing sporting events.

I took me 45 minutes to get here from Atlanta with moderate traffic, but the drive was well worth it! I can’t wait to return to try some of the other things on the menu.

I hope their next location is in Atlanta!!

It would be great to try a spot like this with a group so you can try more things on the menu...

We celebrated our anniversary here, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere and décor were warm and inviting. Donte, the owner, welcomed us with The Wake Up shot (ginger included), and it definitely lived up to its name.

We started with the salmon croquettes, which were perfectly seasoned and delicious on their own, but the sauce gave them an extra edge. We also sampled the chickpea tuna salad—honestly, we should have ordered a full portion of that one!

For entrées, I had the soul rolls with collard greens and asparagus, while my husband tried the Konjac Shrimp with mac & cheese and sweet potatoes. Everything was delicious, though the sweet potatoes had a bit too much cinnamon for his taste.

If you enjoy cocktails, I highly recommend Donte’s Special (vodka and pineapple base)—refreshing and well balanced.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful. I never noticed it there before but I like vegan food so I stopped by for lunch. The customer service was okay but it took longer than 20 minutes for my order. I have had a vegan Mac before and it's delicious when done correctly. The mock fish d sandwich was okay but a 5 when you include the sauce. I did not like that you could see the flower batter which indicates it was not cooked properly.
